Well I finally did it!! I had always told myself I wouldn't do it but I couldn't say no... I made a wedding cake for the sweetest couple I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and calling my friends. Congratulations Colby and Robyn ! Here's to happily ever after 😘

First batch of jam this season and first attempt at cherry.... sooo much work for just 4 jars of jam! My fingers are stained slightly purple but the fresh okanagan cherries were worth it! Peach and strawberry yet to come...
I've been slacking off on baking lately... This weekend a lovely lady hand delivered me some farm fresh eggs and a jar of cherry jam! It inspired me to plug in the mixer... what better way to respect these awesome ingredients than to bake some cookies!

I love making cakes, really I do! I have had many requests recently for cakes with very little notice so sadly I've had to turn them away. 😢 I just thought I'd post a little note letting everyone know that I do have a "real" job that is always priority (gotta pay the bills lol) and typically I need at the very least 2 weeks notice. I wish I could do them all!! Unfortunately that's just not a possibility. Thanks so much for your interest in my little hobby 😊 I'm truly overwhelmed that so many of you would choose me to make your special occasions full of cake!

Sooo.... I'm having to take a break from cake 😕 Due to upcoming wrist surgery there won't be any cakey goodness coming from my kitchen for the month of April. I'm hoping that all goes smoothly and that scrumptious baked goodness resumes without a hitch in May... till then my friends bake some cake for me 😘 xo
Jen is an amazing cook. Her cakes always turn out looking soft and delectable. Her fudge fills your mouth with creamy chocolate that isn't overpowering. Once you try her food you'll be thinking about it months after. Jen herself is a wonderful person always has a smile for everyone and can make you feel very special. My choice is Jens cakes over generic cakes anyday!
