About The Grasslands Project
The Grasslands Project is a National Film Board of Canada documentary initiative exploring issues and stories from the southern prairies.
The Grasslands Project Description
The Grasslands Project is a series of short documentary films about people and issues in the southern prairies of Saskatchewan and Alberta. The National Film Board's North West Centre, based in Edmonton, is holding discussions with community members across the prairies regarding this project. Our objective is to create a series of short films based on ideas, issues and stories brought forward by community members in the southern grasslands region. We will produce up to 10 short documentary films (between 5 and 10 minutes) based on ideas or themes realized at nine community meetings from Stand Off in the west to Radville in the east.
