The Martyn'S Nest Day Home

The Martyn's Nest Dayhome is focused on having a fun, caring environment to nuture and grow your child. We love to learn through play!

The Martyn's Nest is a day home run in Sherwood Park by two sister's. It closed due to Beth having her third baby, Katelyn last June 2013, however, we are very pleased to announce we will be running a SUMMER FUN CAMP July and August 2014! The camp will have weekly themes that include field trips, activities, cooking, baking, outdoor games and play, dress up, circle time and arts and crafts! Alli and Beth each have children of their own and want to extend their warm, comforting home and expertise with working with children of all ages to your families. We believe that healthy food, fresh air and a stimulating "learning through play" structured environment foster each child's potential so that they can develop at their own pace in a safe and nurturing environment. We aim to provide an inclusive environment and work with the families to provide similar values and community involvement. We will provide a healthy breakfast, am snack, lunch and pm snack. If your child would like another snack to munch on during quiet time, we ask that you provide one.

Both Beth and Alli have worked in day care centre's. Alli has her Level 3 and QECC A Child care and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and a Degree in Child and Youth Care Counseling. Beth has her Level 1 Child care and five years experience running a day home. Both ladies have their First Aid and CPR and a current criminal record and child welfare check.

If you would like an application or brochure, please email us at the below email address and we will send one to your email. If you do not have email or access to a computer, give us a call and we can put one in the mail. We can also send you the waivers for first aid administration, medication administration, transportation and permission to photograph your child at that time.

Children aged 3-5 years of age will be cared for at this time.

The Fee Schedule is as follows:

Day rate $50. 00 This does include all activities and food mentioned above, however for field trips requiring a substantial admission fee, you may be asked to bring $10. 00 more per child.

Due to planning and limited spots, we do ask that if you are cancelling for a day, we do have 24 hrs notice to try and fill the spot. Those that do not provide the 24 hrs notice will be kindly asked to pay half of the fee for the day. Unfortunately, if the fees are not paid, the child will be unable to attend the camp again until they are.
