Women across the globe are disadvantaged and underrepresented. Women and their challenges are still hidden from the world's view. The structural, social, economic, and ideological forces in the world are not changing because women continue to be silenced. Invisibility and exclusion are the problems we want to change for women. At TRG, our mission is to create spaces where women can share and where the world can hear stories of grit and resilience. We will gather and mobilize spaces, tools and opportunities for women to overcome barriers resulting from trauma and help them build economic literacy, resilience and self sufficiency to create independence and contribute to their community. Our objectives as an organization are: - To remove barriers for women to share their experiences and gifts with the world - To move away from analyzing and hypothesizing around women's experiences, and instead hear women's experiences - To build a platform for the disenfranchised and the invisible members of society, and not the experts - To collect a community of people whose mission is to amplify the voices of women who have experienced violence - To build a model of community care that enhances access and connectedness for women entrepreneurs
