Well my husband asked where I wanted to eat for our anniversary tonight. I've been seeing and reading food posts from here all the past year. It didn't disappoint at all. Great atmosphere, no "eat fast" pressure, great cook/waiter/owner lol and we played a board game. The food was so fresh and flavourful. I absolutely can not believe my husband actually finished the All Meat Sammie, it was massive! Due to him being stuffed, I got all the triple roasted spuds w/garlic aioli to myself!

We just ate at The Salty Dog and it was amazing! The food was delicious & not what I would have expected at a most restaurants, let alone a small town pub. Fresh, delicious ingredients from a chef who, one can tell, really cares about his food. Great atmosphere, pool, darts & lots of fun board games. We'll definitely be back!

This place is the diamond in the rough.....can't say enough about it....food was over the top and the caesar was amazing, so were the hosts. Thank You so much for an enjoyable evening and we will be back!!!

Stopped in after hockey with the kids because we've been hearing good things about the pub. Salty went out of his way to make our kids feel welcome. Great atmosphere - we enjoyed a pint while the boys played some board games. Amazing food and a fantastic experience!! We'll definitely be back with friends!

Serious Food. Seriously Good. Quality ingredients. Great relaxed atmosphere, family friendly pub, passionate owner! Worth the drive from Edmonton!

Omg I love this place. The vibe is chill and fun. Food is delish and it doesn’t hurt that Dixon is nice eye candy while enjoying a bevvie or a meal😘

If you are looking for a small town pub with an amazing atmosphere, cold beer, fresh food, and fun staff, the Salty dog is the place. This place is awesome and worth a visit.

I loved the nachos-feeds 3 to 4 people and my husband and I ate it all. Owner and staff very friendly and outgoing. Will definately be back to try the rest of the menu. I see a definate future for them.

I have eaten at The Salty Dog twice and each time my taste buds were amazed and delighted! The "Nachos Mondo Grande" is seriously the best plate of nachos EVER with at least 4 different kinds of meat (not just ground beef), flavourful cheese, BBQ sauce and their amazing aioli sauce drizzled over everything. An interesting "spin" on an otherwise common dish. The next time I had the Candied Bacon Chicken Sub and I cannot even really put into words how delicious and flavourful the sub was, along with the tasty side of spuds. I love the cozy atmosphere, the board games, the personal interaction with the owner/server/chef and the unique and freshly made food. I would HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try...you will definitely be back! (I know I will...)
