The Starlite room has a very welcoming feel, all sorts of different bands and artists play in the one of a kind venue that has the most amazing sound in the city! If your looking to see a live show, have an amazing experience, and a night to remeber. Head down to the Starlite for an evening that won’t disappoint!!

New ownerships have really changed this place for the Better!

The Starlite Roomis one of the best venues in Edmonton. Great atmosphere, great people running the venue. It’s always busy, offering the yeg a great music scene. I love going to the Starlite Room for shows!!!!

User

I love this venue. Good stage, good sound most of the time, never have had any issues with the staff, a lot of good bands play here. And it has in and out privileges which is awesome. Usually they are on time with door times. Drinks are pricey but not anymore than any other place in Edmonton. One time I had left a hoodie at coat check and had left the venue and already made it to my destination. Realizing I left it there I had called and was able to drive back and get it back. There is a 5 dollar membership fee but it's good for a year so it's not so bad at all, lets you take a guest. It's my favorite venue in Edmonton!!!

User

Easily my favourite venue in Edmonton, no questions asked.

Welcoming staff, great sound, good layout, and reasonable drink prices

User

Best promoters, well managed, and houses the best sound tech in the city. They've done a ton to breath new life into an ancient building.

People need to understand that some things cannot be structurally changed, and if you really want it to become a live music Utopia, support the business by attending as many events as possible. More renovations aren't possible without the financial support by steady business.

User

Love the venue , but something needs to be done about the heat in the place ,they need to install some windows that open , and if possible level the floor ,other than that ,it has been one of my favorite places to see live music at since the days of the Bronx

User

A good venue with a large dance floor/mosh pit area and a large bar area as well. The staff was professional and to the point, which seems appropriate given that we were there for a show on St. Patrick's Day. The bathrooms were cleaner than I expected and the beer and cider choices seemed reasonable.

User

We went to see the Funk Hunters last night. Show was really good ,We went to the coat check line to get our coats at 2 am and preceded to wait in line for over 2 hours, we weren't able to leave until after 4am .It really diminished our enjoyment of the show having to stand a ridiculous amount of time just waiting to get our coats. I love watching shows at Starlight and hopefully they can find a more organized way for coat check because there was alot of unhappy people that night.

User

The venue is great..enjoyed the 2 times i was there..will go back..only thing that was irritating..out of all the bumping into and being pushed(all to be expected) the rudest and worst experience by staff anywhere ive ever had was a young lady that works there..pushed and bullied her way, pushing people&actually walking through them like they were not there to just stand in front of people, like she was entitled to do what she please ,rammed into to me multiple times..no apologies ..nothing..got flicked in my face a couple of times by her dreadlocks..other than that..a great time

User

Heard this place was under new management, bathrooms are still the same grossness as always and for a sold out show no pat downs or bag searches at the door, saw ppl drinking canned beer out of their bags. Also very limited choice for drinks. Metal heads like coctails and wine too lol. I would have spent a lot more than the $20 I did on gross beer(which when I got there second band in there was one corona left😦show was great as always

User

Good venue good shows I just wish you guys had air conditioning and you guys didn't run out of water

User

The Ruth B show was amazing. Great performance, good sound. But the Starlite Room needs to start shows on time. Ruth B was supposed to start at 8:00. She didn't appear on stage until at least 8:35. Thirty-five to forty minute delays are not acceptable. After decades of this crap, hasn't the Starlite Room learned that people expect the show to actually start on time? (Bash & Pop were scheduled to start at 11:30 PM downstairs, and they began their set at 11:32!)

There were dozens of small children there to see her. Friends of mine left at 8:30 because their daughter was exhausted from standing up for 90 minutes, waiting for the show to start. I saw other parents leaving as well. What a waste of their time. How did the Starlite Room not take this into account? Also, any small child would not have been able to see Ruth B on stage. Why not consider roping off a small area in front for children at an all ages concert?

User

Saw big wreck. Band sounded good, but vocals were mixed terribly. Bit of a rip off to pay $5 for a membership when I already paid for tickets. Advertised to start at 8, with doors opening an hour before. Didn’t open till 8 and the opener started at 9:30. Service was good at the bar though. I will think twice about coming here for an event again.

User

I have attended concerts all over the world including North America, South America and Europe. This is the first time I must pay for an annual membership to get in the venue , although I was an overseas attendee and already had a ticket for the gig last night. The hostess was so sorry, whenever I have explained her my case, however; there was no way, I had to pay for the membership. It is not about the Value (5 dollars), but a matter of respect. And yes. i knew it in advance, but still I couldn’t believe it. Overseas visitors, please be advised about this rule.

User

Waited in line for ever. Then finally got in and waited in line for probably an hr to check our coats... then danced for a hr and a half then waited in coat check line till 430am. I didn't get back to our friends place till the sun was up... and its the middle of winter. Easily the worst concert experience i've ever encountered. I used to be excited to go to the starlite. I came all the way from Fort McMurray to see a show that was actually ruined by the venue. First time that has ever happened. Now i'll dread the thought of having to return.

User

This past weekend went to the starlight room to see funk the halls. Waited forever to get in. Once finally in went to coat check to wait just as long in that line. Arrived there at 11pm and was only able to enjoy the venue for an hr before having to wait in coat check line once again until 430am. Our coats were no longer together on the same coat hook. Found 2 of my friends coats on the floor with footprints all over them. Please have something done about this.

User

Stopped us at the door saying it was sold out after letting our buddy in before us without saying a word about it. Fuck them.

User

Starlite room seriously needs to fix the

floor, it’s extremely bowed on the dance floor in front of the stage. I’ve been to two shows here and each time my feet and legs where in agony because of it! To be honest if I have a choice to not go here then I won’t. Do not stand in front of the stage you will regret it by the end of the evening!!! Also what the hell is with the bathrooms? They are down like two floors and feel super sketchy and dark almost feels like your going down a back ally way about to be mugged. The only thing that was worth going to this venue was the band that we saw they where awesome but that has nothing to do with the venue itself.

User

Loved seeing Colter Wall, no complaints about him. Not impressed that the concert was advertised doors open at 7 and show at 8. We were there by 7...no one was on stage until 9 and Colter wasn't out until 10. No seating so we stood the hole time. I would see Colter Wall again but not if it is at the Starlight room. Had a hard time hearing the artists because people just talked the whole time.

Stopped us at the door saying it was sold out after letting our buddy in before us without saying a word about it. Fuck them.
