About Tita Jane'S - Onyang'S Original Pancit Malabon

Tita Jane /Onyang's Original Pancit Malabon is created from a closely guarded recipe passed down by my great-grandmother "Lola Echang" who hails from Concepcion, Malabon City to my parents and titos /titas. Growing up in Malabon, this dish is a familiar favorite in our family.

The dish resembles Pancit Palabok, but can easily be distinguished by the type of 'sauce' used, which is all made from scratch and not from pre-packaged sachets : )

A little bit of history: The array of seafood packed in the original dish varies and can be attributed to Malabon's location. It is situated in a coastal area where most of the major fish markets and ports are located, specifically, the Navotas fish port.

Seafood allergy alert! Onyang's Original Pancit Malabon is a flavourful noodle dish that typically has shrimp, tinapa (smoked fish) flakes, and a variety of seafood cocktail, and did I mention, seafood? Other variations also use squid, oysters and mussels but we like to keep with Lola Echang's tradition and stick to the family recipe.

Other typical pancit ingredients are: eggs, annato powder (achuete), green onions and deep fried garlic.

Take part in our family tradition and place an order today! Please do note that the Original Pancit Malabon is an elaborate dish to make so we would really appreciate orders placed one week in advance.

Orders are accepted from Monday-Thursday for delivery on Saturday and /or Sunday.

Thank you in advance! Kain na! =)
