I am so excited to announce that Norah’s Knot will be launching in two new locations this week!
Today was set up day at The Crafters Den here in Sherwood Park! Seraphina, two toddler dolls, my cards, and handdyed yarn and fibre are stocked along with some amazing products from other local vendors. Shop local my friends!

✨She is 100% one of a kind. ... ✨Her hair is 100% merino dyed and spun by me on my spinning wheel! ✨Her tail is a mix of fibres dyed by a local artist (@AndreaGeldart) - local Finn, and Local Romney wool, Merino wool, Angelina, Silk Noils and Teeswater locks. These fibres were also handspun by me ✨Nova is 15 inches tall and has magnetic hands.

I always love the idea of these “post every day for a month themes” but let’s be real. I lack stick-to-it-iveness 😂 At the very least, I figure March is a good time for an introduction! ✨✨✨✨✨ • You get a swagger wagon headshot because we seem to live out of the minivan during hockey season and 3 hockey playing kiddos means most of my dolls are made at the arena! • I have an expensive science degree which I have never used except that I am currently KILLING Grade 5 🙄... • 100% introverted - I make and cancel plans like a boss! One of these days I’ll drag my butt to a sip n’ stitch. • Glen and I have been married for 13 years. Fun fact - we only gave people 2 weeks notice for our wedding! • We have a red border collie with allergies and high anxiety - he’s a jerk but fits in perfectly with our crazy crew. •I almost killed my sister with sushi. I happened to drop these two handspun yarns beside each other today and they just snuggled right up against each other! Do we love this combo? Tweedy mermaid tail with pink ombre hair or pink tail with blue hair?

I don’t own a pink shirt but I do have an embarrassing amount of pink yarn! Does that count? This spin was another “mind blown” moment for me. I almost didn’t spin this braid, because looking at it, all I could see was “fibreglass insulation” . Pink Shirt Day is a perfect day to learn yet again that appearances can be deceiving. ✨✨✨✨✨ Be kind out there!

Another surgery for my sweet nephew this morning. Ben has been here before, but having “Bobby” along makes everything easier. Even playing on the ipad is easier with Bobby’s help 😂

Marin almost made it to the shop but she was snapped up before she hit the internet! My waitlist is shrinking, soon I hope to be able to focus on my empty shelves! 💕 In the meantime, sad news this week brought with it a reminder of how precious life is. Hug your babies, call old friends, love your people hard. Life is too short to leave things unsaid.

Feeling a little bit like a mad scientist today, and I even remembered how to do math! Prepping dye stock has all the color ideas swirling in my head...

Yesterday was mail day! ✨✨✨✨✨ I ordered a small amount of Fibre and a few dyes to try my hand at creating my own braids! I was only brave enough to try one 4oz section but IT. WORKED. This combo is so fun, bright and might just have to stay in my living room on this frigid “feels like -40” kinda day! ✨✨✨✨✨... I’m leaning towards naming this “Prosecco brunch” but I think I’ll spin it first! Any brilliant ideas?

I had to edit the photo I sent you so you couldn't see how "loved on" aka dirty this little guy is. You can tell his nose gets LOTS of kisses! None of my other kids had such an attachment to a toy or blanket. But Benjamin LOVES Bobby...he whispers his name till he falls asleep, takes him everywhere, gives him to people to hug and kiss all day long. Quality craftsmanship that is standing up to toddler love....we are big fans! Thanks Julie!
