University Of Alberta Dance Club

We offer an extensive range of ballroom dance classes and dance events throughout the year.

Welcome to the University of Alberta Dance Club. As the largest and oldest dance group on campus, our organization offers an extensive range of classes and activities. Regardless of your dancing ability, there is something in the club for you.

If you're interested in instruction, the club offers classes each week for nine weeks per term, ranging from beginner to advanced (Level 1 to 3). Overall, our club teaches 9 dances found in International Ballroom, including Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Jive, Rumba, Samba. We also teach the Salsa.

Want to meet new people? We offer some themed events like the Halloween Party for those who like dressing up in costumes, a Valentine's Dance, and a formal ball in March.

The formal provides the opportunity to "Put on the Ritz" with black tie being the order of the day. It's the club's fanciest event with a massive dance floor, and what dancing at its very best is all about.
