Geoscience event to bring together students and industry professionals

The Western Inter-University Geosciences Conference is an annual student-run conference that alternates between universities across Western Canada. WIUGC represents an opportunity for students from across Canada to share their research, ideas, and more. The University of Alberta's Earth and Atmospheric Science Departement is delighted to be hosting WIUGC 2017 this coming year.
WIUGC helps students develop skills and broaden knowledge through technical short courses developed and run by industry professionals, guest lectures and technical talks, an industry fair, and student oral and poster research presentations. WIUGC 2017 also features a variety of field trips that showcase Alberta’s wealth of resources, rich geological history, as well as the research technology and facilities at the University of Alberta.
