Women And Money

Women and Money are working to support all women towards greater financial literacy.

Women and Money grew out of the recognition that all women benefit from financial independence, whatever their income or circumstances. As women, we often put ourselves and our needs last – prioritizing everything and everyone else around us but when it comes to our financial security, we have to have the knowledge and confidence to put ourselves first.

Women and Money, a volunteer committee, is part of City Council’s Women’s Initiative, led by Mayor Don Iveson and Councillor Bev Esslinger.

Women and Money is, at its core, about women who believe in helping women. Mothers, sisters, daughters, children, neighbours and friends who come together to empower women from all walks of life to “show their money who’s BOSS. ”

Through social media, videos, events and activities, Women and Money will address a variety of financial topics – everything from holiday spending to mortgages to wills and estate planning. Subject matter experts and women from across Edmonton will share their real-life financial stories and advice.
