101.9 Boom

Trip down memory lane every day!

I started listening to this station a few years back when it was K rock. Then slowly came to terms with the change and totally fell in love with BOOM! Claire is the most amazing and entertaining radio host I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. She is so community minded, committed to her duties and hilariously amazing at what she does best. She makes Boom 101.9 THEE best radio station, by far, the best one I've ever listened to! Not to mention all the contests and giveaways that are the icing on the cake. BOOM is where it's at ladies and gentlemen!! ��

I know losing K-Rock was painful for some, but half of the music Boom has played so far was played on K-Rock. Plus, the new songs were big hits and popular in their respective decades - 70s, 80s and 90s.

I loved K-Rock, but Boom is amazing as well. All the music is right in my wheelhouse. Besides, it could have been worse - it could have been a compete format flip (country, classical, elevator music). It's change, but change can be good.

Especially if you find it in the cushions of your couch...or, in this case, on your radio! �

We admittedly weren't happy with the change when it first came around however, we have grown to like BOOM. �

Im loving Boom...a little twilight zone for me but at least I know all the words...lol

Shame some people are blaming the station when really its the mother ship in control ;-)

For the most part your awesome but at two in the morning anyone listening want to stay awake so get rid of the slower love songs and rock out brains out!! Yours truly the 24 hour cattle hauler

What the $%@#? K- Rock was awesome. This boom crap is honestly the worst station I've listened to in a long time.

What a horrible change. Why would you go from the best station to the worst?

Was a good station but the transition to 1019 boom was unneeded and poorly done. Our area already has a variety station. We desperately need a good rock station.

K-Rock was the only decent station for the rocking working guy. The new format sucks!!!. I guess it's back to satellite radio.

I guess I'm going back to my Spotify subscription. Used to play good music

Bring back K-Rock. There are radio stations in Edmonton that play mix, I want classic rock back.
