Caitlyn O'Connor Music is a singer/songwriter, actor, and dancer from Calgary. This year she completed a four theatre training program at Rosebud School of the Arts. Caitlyn’s folk/jazz/alternative style is the groundwork for her lyrical storytelling—her debut album includes stories about love, a lamentation to her late grandmother, and a song simply about being bored. It is also a variety pack of genres and instruments, from peppy kangas to haunting violin. We can't wait to have her at this year's #15FameFest!

Those who have attended #15FameFest before are sure to recognize Christina Colyn! The lyrical themes distinctive to her music provide a rich and meaningful experience for the earnest listener. Her demeanour, being curiously accessible, beckons one to join in feeling as deeply as she does in the moments shared together. The sound produced from Christina has been described as being unexpectedly pronounced, chilling, and soulful. Her new album, Uncaged, was released in May of 2018, and she can’t wait to get out there and share it with you at 15!

We absolutely love having Bill's Big Band on our stage year after year! Bill’s Big Band was formed about 8 years ago to sing at 15 Minutes of Fame. We’ve since added one song to each of our performances at 15. We’re up to 5 songs now! It exists only for this festival every other year. We do it because it’s fun to make a big sound. It’s made up of a rhythm section (piano, bass, drums), brass, saxes, and a tight vocal ensemble.

A recent graduate from Rosebud School of the Arts, Stephanie Lanting has fallen in love with comedy. In the past four years of studies she has been telling comedic stories through theatre, short films, and music. Join her and guest artist, Mike Thiessen, for some fun at the 15 Minutes of Fame Festival!

Closing out this year's festival is Rotary Park! Rotary Park is a Calgary based band playing a special brand of harmony driven, alternative bluegrass. The combination of ambient folk music, powerful vocal harmonies and banjo ripping bluegrass is sure to have to listener immersed and captivated in a sonic atmosphere of progressive americana. With two full length albums and three coast to coast Canadian tours, Rotary Park is a genre-busting delight.

Accidents and Fairytales is a collaboration between Cassie Garbutt, Rebecca Hellekson, Esther Koepnick, and Chris, Kyle and Alex Friesen. They took poetry and set it to music, structuring the album like a climactic play. We are so intrigued and excited to hear them at this year's #15FameFest!

Marcus Trummer is a Calgary-born singer/songwriter, guitarist and bandleader. Since picking up the guitar at age 13, he has been writing and performing a mix of original songs and covers. His music featuring a groovy blend of riff-driven guitar playing and soulful vocals is rooted in a classic, blues-rock sound. August 1st...you know what that means? It's almost time for #15FameFest!

On Sunday, Rosebuddies warmed up the #15FameFest Stage by holding a jam! We can't wait for all the music that will be gracing this stage in the upcoming month!

Do you remember Peyote Zach & The Firecrackers from last year? They're back again at this year's #15FameFest! Rosebud bred and based Peyote Zach and the Firecrackers are 1 part Native and 2 parts Settler, jamming up a storm on Treaty 7 land. Indigenous rights meet the gospel in this folksy rock trio’s story driven lyrics and powerful melodies. As three actors trained at Rosebud School of the Arts, songwriter and lead vocalist Zach Running Coyote, percussionist Heidi MacDonald, and Bass slayer Justin Lanouette know the power of clear communication and storytelling, and strive to entertain while breathing life into a message of truth before reconciliation.

Kendall Rodney Bilan creates music which reflects the landscapes that inspire him. Growing up in Calgary AB, he has had the privilege of spending countless hours in the Rocky Mountains. Kendall’s soft and melodic voice winds through his music, with the accompaniment of effortless acoustic guitar playing that seems to speak from the heart of the Canadian Wilderness. His debut album “Freemont” is filled with tender moments, vastness and love, as he continually strives to write ...music that is deeply honest and “Wild”.
