History of Jugo:
"Jugo" is Spanish for juice. So it essentially called "Juice Juice. Also the pronunciation is JOO-go. Spanish speakers say HEW-go which is actually the correct way however the company like the aural alliteration.
Founded by Derek Brock and Jason Cunningham in the summer of 1995 in Kelowna BC. As managers at the time working at a booming company named Starbucks, they were impressed with the way paopleresponded to a premium take on a tried and true product. If it worked for coffee beans, why not fruit? The first Jugo Juice location was opened in December 1998 in Calgary's Eau Claire Market and was franchised in 2002.
Since then, Jugo Juice has expanded to many new cities, establishing themselves as the most respected smoothie provider in each market which is now the leading the way in the world of fast food thanks to their simple belief that natural unprocessed food are the future of health living.
