A To Z Alpacas

About A To Z Alpacas

Hi! I'm Leslie from A to Z Alpacas! Welcome : )

A To Z Alpacas Description

A to Z Alpacas is a father-daughter-granddaughter family alpaca farm in Southern Alberta, Canada. My father Rod Unruh and I (Leslie Unruh) raise 300 of these beautiful animals. Alpacas are like Llama's but smaller and in my opinion much cuter : -) Their fleece is often referred to as the fiber of the Gods and is used by handspinners to create absolutly stunning yarns. The yarns are then used to create very warm and fashionable garments. Their fiber is warmer than sheeps wool, is hypoallergenic and extremely durable!

Everything! Is 10% off until March 20th! All hand dyed yarns and fibers, all natural too! The socks and bedding as well!
Where to find it all: The hand dyed skeins are exclusive on Facebook! They are on my Facebook page in my photos tab. www.facebook.com/pg/Atozalpacas/photos/?t ab=albums ... There is one album for each weight of yarn. (I’ll place links to each album as well as my website here in this event discussion.) The natural yarns, socks and bedding are on my homepage www.atozalpacas.com as well as in my Etsy shop. If you want to take advantage of the 10% off please message me the order (do not buy on Etsy because your savings will go towards the fees for etsy which won’t help you or the alpacas!) The auction will start on March 20th. Everything that is left after the 10% off sale, will go up for auction! I’ll have bidding open for about 5 days.
If I can get to 100 guests I will do a door prize! And it will be awesome, so share share share! Hit going or interested to be entered into the door prize. (You don’t have to be bidding or buying to be a guest:)
Thank you! Let me know if you have questions!

Here is the remaining pencil roving hand dyed skeins :) I am offering 10% Off until March 20th, whatever is left after that will be auctioned! Comment on a photo if you would like to know more, I will try to get the info up asap. Thank-you <3

User

Change of plans for the auction! The daily auctions are not working. It takes me a lot of time (to think of the time I’ve wasted)😩! And the results aren’t as I hoped. Most are going for start bid or not even selling at all. So I have changed it a bit. The new plan is to go back to the old way: Shop the albums for 10% off until March 20th ... On March 20th whatever is left will go up for auction! I’ll end the auction after bidding is open for 5 days. Then hopefully I’ll be sold out! I have lots still but soooo much less than what we started with so it already feels like a great accomplishment! Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased yarn and helped to feed the alpacas! And to those who like and comment on my posts! It all helps 👍 We are still in a deep freeze! It’s been almost a month of really cold days. Praying for spring to show soon!
To see the stuff I have up for 10% check out my albums in the photos tab:) I will be accepting requests for daily auction items until I get on to change the wording in alllll the photos. Thank you all!

Last day to get your name in the draw! Let me know if you've been helping! I just checked and I am completely perplexed.. I checked about 4 days ago and was at 1614 watch hours (4000 is the goal) And now today its at 1592. Not sure if the hours where we set it to play on a loop is actually counted. With all this help from all you awesome people I really thought that I would hit my goal by the end of the month. Unfortunately this will take some time. My subscribers have climbed 55 since Feb 6th so thats great! I am going to attempt to post a new video to YouTube daily and share it here on Facebook. After choosing the winner of this bag (tonight) I will put together another prize and continue with this YouTube Campaign until I'm monetized! I'll announce the winner of the bag tonight! Thank-you!

Update: I've been trying to reduce my yarn stash and have crocheted a couple cowls from the worsted weight yarn and OMG they are so soft. The fabric is just beautiful. I've also bought a couple lbs of roving and been practicing my spinning. I'm in love with it and will be ordering more in the future.

Love all the yarn I've bought from A to Z Alpacas and now I'm delving into the spinning world and can't wait to spin up some of Leslie's gorgeous fibre.

User

This is simply gorgeous stuff. I'm beyond sable but some things are just too good to resist…and the alpacas are happy too!

User

The quality of the yarn is second to none! Leslie is great at customer service and the prices are unbeatable for the quality and quantity of yarn she sells. If there was a more than 5star rating this place deserves it!

User

Thank you Leslie for aiding me in my yarn/knitting addiction. I recently taught myself to knit and wanted to try my hand at some unique/natural fibres. She was even located in Alberta which made my decision so much easier. Leslie is quick to answer all my questions and the hand died pencil roving that I purchased is so beautiful! I can't wait to order again!

User

Receive my box yesterday with all my beautifull yarn, fast and well pack !

Very glad to by from people who love what they made with so much love and patience.

Thank you !!

User

Price and quality is like no other!

Omg this yarn is so incredibly soft and the color is beautiful. Cannot wait to start knitting with it!!! Received the order within a few days. Thanks so much.

User

My FAVOURITE alpaca yarn! The natural yarn is gorgeous, the hand-dyes are amazing and the custom dye I ordered was perfect. Very clean, always smells nice too! I've ordered a few times now and always had great service and quick shipping. I highly recommend this yarn! And the socks are amazingly warm and well-made as well!

User

I saw A to Z Alpacas on instagram and was sooo excited to find out they make yarn and all kinds of alpaca products.

A skein I bought from them arrived and I was FLOORED. Their yarn is gorgeous, high quality, very unique, and a great value.

Not only was this beautiful yarn all those things mentioned above, but it is also made with love and tons of heart.

Seeing their instagram and Facebook helped me understand the hard work and dedication they put into their herd and products. In the few short days I've known about them, I've come to admire them.

I bought another skein right away and would definitely buy again and again.

Seriously, keep doing what you guys are doing, please! I wish I found you guys sooner!

User

I have purchased yarn, fiber, and pencil roving from Leslie at A to Z Alpacas, and have been thrilled with my purchase every time!! It's always soft and wonderful to work with and Leslie is a sweetheart who goes out of her way to make her customers happy. I HIGHLY recommend them for any of their products. They are all top notch!!!

User

I have been nothing but happy with my A to Z Alpacas purchases -- from my first cria fleece (as fine as spiderwebs and oh so soft!) to the beautiful hand-dyed yarn to my favorite -- the roving. No guard hairs or roughness here! The spinning fiber from A to Z Alpacas is consistently the softest I can find. Everybody loves the yarns I spin from it, and it's a pleasure to handle from start to finish. Thank you, Leslie, for your wonderful alpaca goodies!

User

I have been a happy customer of A to Z for over a year now. I have enjoyed crocheting with both pencil roving and several weights of the yarn - the quality is consistently excellent, whether the fiber is natural or dyed (the dyeing is to die for!). Leslie is a fabulous communicator, and I feel totally comfortable contacting her with any and all alpaca goodness questions. The Unrah family is my go to for this amazing fiber!

User

I cannot say enough good things about the yarn from A to Z Alpaca Yarn! The quality is consistently excellent, with wonderful stitch definition for cabling or lace work. The skeins are prepared for easy winding. The yarn breathes and is not as heavy as wool. If you're on the fence about trying Leslie's yarn, don't be. Leslie is a joy to work with, and offers excellent product service.

User

I am a true admirer of the Unruh family. It's a ton of work to have a large heard of alpaca like they do but each animal is given love and the best care possible. On a visit to their farm I was greeted by 300+ alpacas and it was such an overwhelming and awesome experience. I am featuring the AtoZ alpaca yarn in my crochet book coming out in July. If you want to knit or crochet with exceptional alpaca fiber you really do need to try some of their alpaca yarn.

User

I almost died when my tiny package arrived - it was way smaller than I was anticipating. I opened up the envelope to realize that my yarn had been vacuum sealed for freshness, hence the small package delivery was very fast, less than a week after my payment.

I rolled all my yarn into cakes and there were no rough joins, the yarn weight is even and it's the best colour - RED. Thank you!

User

Brilliant packaging makes for fast shipping and easy pick up! But the fiber! Omg the fiber! I love and adore my sheep but I may have to downsize my herd to move to alpacas now! I may never wear wool socks again

User

Amazingly soft fibre. I was incredibly pleased with my purchase. Will order from again
