Join Above Average Yoga’s Trista Davis and Kat Boehm for a beautiful day of collective solitude. Use this as an opportunity to unplug and restore the mind and the body. No meditation experience required.
Our last retreat received rave reviews and many of the participants are excited to do it again.
... So what does a silent retreat look like? Well the good news is that you are not just paying for 7 hours of straight silence! How it works is you will arrive around 9:30am for registration and find a comfortable place that you would like to situate yourself for the first seated meditation of the day.
At 10am we will all be seated and ready for practice. We will go over all the ground "rules" and then a teaching will be offered. After the teaching is offered you will meditate for a period of time until another teaching is offered and so on and so forth. We will be working with walking meditation, so you will get to go outside and be with nature, gentle beginner yoga, food meditation with a delicious vegetarian lunch, journal exercises, restorative yoga, breathing exercises, contemplation and we will even finish the day with some mantra work.
You will be able to talk to the retreat staff during the day if needed but it is not a time for socialization. Lunch will be a light vegetarian offering for which we will accommodate food allergies.
The investment of the retreat includes some take home worksheets and instructions to continue your meditation practices. Lunch and other surprises are also included.

You will learn postures and then learn to flow within the posture with your breath. This is a great class if you with to find a little more movement and variations of postures. Join us for gentle yin style class with gentle postures, subtle movement and deep stretching. You will learn to explore the body, spirit and mind on a deeper level by exploring yogic techniques such as Pranayama, chanting, meditation and more. This class will help to restore the body and the mind through mindfulness and body awareness.
Each week we will be looking at different parts of the 8 limbs of yoga and applying them to our body and our lives. If you are looking to take your yoga practice deeper, this may be the class for you.
Beyond Yoga: Functional Body Movements for Mobility, Stability, Strength, and Endurance. with Rebecca Jansen Tuesday's at 7:45pm Starts September 4 *8 week session starts on the 11
Challenge your yoga practice and go beyond the traditional. This class will focus on yoga and functional movement as a way to build strong and happy bodies. This studio couldn't feel more like HOME. It is intimate and warm. The Instructors are beyond amazing and to be honest so are the students. I never feel self conscious about my weight and there is a gentle approach in each class.
