To provide “best practice” physical therapy services to the residents of the Peace Country. The staff wil work to create a respectful, helpful work environment that optimizes learning. As a team, the staff will promote an excellent, evidence based, integrated, co-ordinated, client centered service aimed at improving the quality of life of the client while empowering each person to take what they have learned during treatments and apply it to improve wellness in their daily lives.

Access Physiotherapy opened its doors to Grande Prairie and the Peace Country in 1992 at our first location on the north side of the city. We moved into our larger location downtown in 2002. We have expanded our staff to include physiotherapists and kinesiologists to better serve the needs of the community.

We pride ourselves on giving individual thorough assessments and treatment plans that meet the goals of the patient. We strive every day to keep up with the recent research and best practice available to effectively and efficiently treat even the more challenging problems including chronic pain or debilitating injury.

Our workplace is a positive and welcoming environment for patients and workers alike and our goal is to achieve excellent results and prevent further injury with education and tailored exercise programs.

Our functional workplace assessments include pre and post offer of employment testing. The functional abilities testing are performed by physiotherapists and kinesiologists to measure the maximum safe function the individual has reached in their rehab or as a measurement of disability.

The introduction of rehabilitative pilates has shown us how guided strengthening programs using this method has phenomenal results on outcomes of increasing functional abilities.
