The Accounting Club of NAIT will provide accounting students with the opportunity to participate in our events on and off campus.

Accounting Club Of Nait Description

Objectives

a. What do we represent? The Accounting Club of NAIT represents NAIT students in any accounting program who are interested in networking with other students and industry or interested in participating in accounting related events.

b. What is the purpose of our group? To provide students with opportunities to build upon their personal network and skills required for post-graduation. The Accounting Club of NAIT is an event-based organization which focuses on providing opportunities for members to develop various skills related to the accounting profession and expand their experiences.

c. What would we like to achieve? The Accounting Club of NAIT will provide accounting students with the opportunity to participate in our activities, or take on a leadership role within the club. Building relationships with others will allow students to create a diversified network and build professional skills, which may not only provide support during their time at NAIT, but may be valuable will into their careers.

Membership

Membership is open to all students regardless of age, race, religion, ability, social status or sexual orientation.

To be a member in good standing, a participant must:
a) Sign up with the club by providing requested information to become a member via our online survey http://www. surveymonkey.com/s /Q7WMKYZ
b) Volunteer with an event per semester
Members in good standing will be informed of all events, attend and volunteer at events they choose to, and will also have the right to vote at club elections.

Club Activities

The club will hold regular meetings or communicate via e-mail throughout the year. These communications will be informative in nature, and may help to facilitate new member involvement with the club.

The ACN will ideally hold a minimum of of one event per semester which will facilitate and hone some of the key skills to be successful in their careers. Examples of events include Dress for Success, Robert Half Resume Reviews, and the annual CRA Volunteer Tax Clinic.
