A Fine Art and Fine Jewellery exhibition in support of the YWCA Edmonton, featuring the work of local Canadian artists and designers.
Please join us Saturday, June 30th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Adamas Goldsmith's studio location downtown. This exhibition will celebrate exquisitely designed and handcrafted jewellery by local Canadian artists encompassing a wide range of styles. The sparkling display will include creative works by:
-Ross Haynes... -Wayne Mackenzie -Katrin Durand of Hill Durand Art and Design -Sonja Deklerk Fine Art and Fine Jewellery -Adamas Goldsmiths
10% of sales that evening will be directly donated to the YWCA Edmonton. In addition to this, we ask for your participation in a collaborative work of art that will be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the YWCA.
Here is where we need your help:
Envision a large blank canvas...an array of colourful paints and brushes are at your fingertips. You have the opportunity before you to literally leave your mark, however big or small, as you apply brush to canvas.
Now, envision the power and energy captured as individuals from all walks of life come together to leave their mark, ultimately resulting in the creation of a colourfully diverse masterpiece and reflection of our very own community.
The creation of this piece from start to finish will be recorded in a time-lapse video. In order to make this painting a success, we need YOU! Often times in life it is all too easy to assume that we cannot make a difference or leave a lasting impression in the world...this collaborative work of art is intended to symbolically show that each and every one of us has the power within us to leave our very own mark in the world, no matter how big or how small!
