For a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Casual for our Cadotte Lake Contract.
Alberta registered PCPs provide patient care for the residents of Cadotte Lake and area on the APL ground ambulance operations at a BLS level. APL is the current provider of Professional Healthcare Practitioners in Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, Fort Vermilion, and have been awarded the contract for ground EMS from Alberta Health Services for the Cadotte Lake area. Trey, who is a on our High Level/Fort Vermilion Flight Team, recently attended a panel session with high school students at the University of Calgary's Cumming School of Medicine's Project Pulse Calgary to discuss career options in health care. Trey was accompanied by an Ophthalmologist, Registered Nurse and a Medical Imaging Software Developer.

Meet Clarke, an ACP, from our Flight Team in Fort Vermilion and High Level!

1. Where did you grow up?... I grew up on a grain farm west of Spirit River, Alberta.
2. Years in industry? 17 years.
3. What was your first job? Shovelling grain.
4. What is your hidden talent? My hidden talent is ending the life of small rodents (mice and gophers).
5. What is the best part of working for APL? The best part of working for APL is the team/family feel to our workplace.
6. What advice would you give to an aspiring paramedic? Two things Patient care is always number one and don't sweat the small stuff.

5. What is the best part of working for APL? Definitely the crew. Everyone is so patient and knowledgeable. Coming from a newbie to the air side of things, it's been such an easy and fun transition.
6. What advice would you give to an aspiring paramedic? Study! Study! Study! Never stop learning. I was told during my schooling that when you stop learning it's time to leave.
