Second vehicle I’ve personally bought from Advantage. First vehicle was a 2014 focus ST which I had the pleasure of buying through Jordan and factory ordering. Second vehicle is a 2018 F150 XLT special edition package years later was bought through Gaz. Both gentlemen are top notch and highly recommended. My family has purchased 2 vehicles from Gaz and the man is as honest and straight as they come! Highly recommend this dealership and the 2 salesman mentioned above.

Last week, I had the good luck to get to both buy a new car from Advantage, and attend the Women in the Driver's Seat event for Smarty Skirts YYC, all on the same day!

Shane Robb took the time to find out what I was really looking for in a new vehicle, and helped me to understand the different options available and what they would really mean for me. His attention to detail (like remembering my colour preferences), and honest advice was really appreciated as this was the first time I'd ever gone through the process of buying a new car on my own.

Marc Stokes in the Finance department was friendly, helpful, and communicative through the entire process of getting my lease ready, as well as helping me choose which additional protection options I wanted (3M, fabric and leather protection!), and explaining the benefits of buying the Ford Maintenance Protection plan. He went out of his way to ensure I had all the information I'd need to give to my insurance agent, as well.

Greg Kozokowsky was also friendly and helpful when I picked up my new vehicle. From explaining the new features to helping me deal with last minute complications with the car I was trading in, he was informative, patient and had a good sense of humour when things didn't go exactly as planned.

I love my new Explorer!

Later that same day, I returned for the Women in the Driver's Seat event for Smarty Skirts YYC, and it was awesome! Thank you so much to everyone at Advantage Ford who took part! The evening was educational, fun, and really helped our attendees see how the entire car buying and ownership process really works. The transparency and openness really helped to dispel a lot of common car buying myths, as well as empower the women who attended to be knowledgeable and active participants in their car purchasing ventures in the future. Kevin, Shane and Sam were awesome for taking the time out of their evenings to take part. I'm excited to work with you all again in the future!

Just wanted to take a moment to thank the Advantage Ford team for how well they took care of me when purchasing my 2013 Ford Focus. Especially Rob & Shane in New Vehicle Sales. You guys made the entire process as painless as possible. Love my new car & would 100% recommend you guys to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. Thanks again guys, you are the best!

User

I had a couple minor issues with my truck Friday and the shop Forman came to the service drive thru to help me out. What a great experience! I was extremely impressed how helpful he was and willing to go the extra mile.

I went back to the other ford dealer in the Douglasdale area today (where I bought my truck and always brought it for service since 2012) what a terrible experience. Done with them for good!

Advantage ford you have my business from now on. Great team!!

User

Came in to look at a used truck. Ended up with said used truck and a brand new one for our business. Warren our salesman was very accommodating and Chris the finance guy was fantastic. Would recommend this dealership to anyone of my friends and family.

User

Absolutely the best experience our family has ever had at a car dealership. The sales people and the finance people worked their best deals to get us 2 used vehicles and one brand new F-150. We are loving all the vehicles and the service has been good. Anytime we've had an issue at this dealership it is always been rectified and they've treated us like family I would recommend this dealership to anyone and everyone. I'm saddened to see the negative comments that are given out , as I know that this is not a reflection of the dealership I have dealt with. if I ever decide to part with my Mustang GT convertible I will go back to this dealership and purchase my car there I give them 5 stars because they worked for it and they earned it.

*UPDATED December 16 2015

Advantage just took my truck back in to re-do the detailing job they did so poorly earlier in the year. Despite the fact that the service manager has now changed, they honored the promise the prior manager had made to re-do the detailing, free of charge. They got my truck in quickly, and also did a regular maintenance service at the same time. Even though an issue requiring a repair was discovered, they STILL manage to get my truck detailed as well, on time. If you are lucky enough to have Sean as your service adviser, you shouldn't have any issues. He's really good at his job. Thank Advantage, for owning up to your mistake and making it right. I appreciate it and will be a loyal customer. The re-do job was far better than the original and I am very happy with the quality of the detailing this time around.

Today I had my truck detailed at Advantage Ford when I had a service done, because I'm 8 months pregnant and have a toddler, so was willing to pay for it to be properly cleaned. I even paid for the "extra squeeky clean" expensive option. I have been going here loyally since I purchase my truck from Advantage in 2011. I've never had a vehicle detailed anywhere before, but was really disappointed in this experience. When I got in the truck, the first thing I noticed was the sticky spots still on my centre console and back seat. These are from my toddler, I wiped them off with a cloth when I got back home, so it's not like they were hard to remove! These were visible without even doing a close inspection. Interior glass is still dirty, I can see lots of missed areas. I don't even want to comment on the exterior, terrible. There are still bugs stuck on the front grill! There was no attention to detail whatsoever, which leaves me as an unsatisfied customer. This is a shame as I am now very hesitant to do further business with Advantage. Bottom line, DO NOT fork out the cash for detailing here. Could have done a far better job myself with a few spare hours. My truck is a Raptor and was my first baby, so next time I'll be taking it elsewhere.

User

I had to take my Explorer in today for service (new power take off unit) and I just need to give a shout out to Dione in service. She was great to deal with and went out of her way to make sure this was a good experience for me.

Had issues with car. Had it checked out today thankful Issue was a minor one. Fixed at no cost to me even though warranty has expired. Friendly Employees

User

Wow advantage........ I have taken my car into advantage four times for a squeaky door four times they have told me it's been fixed I just picked it up this morning did not even get out of the lot and the squeak is still there. I will definitely be going to a different Ford place from now on advantage Ford you're unreal

Used my personal information to spam me (my wife as well) with a scam via email, text and phone today from a “William” saying they want to purchase my vehicle (hint: no “William” works at this dealership). Thought it seemed fishy, so I phoned the dealership to ask if my information was stolen; NOPE, this was from the shop directly trying to get people to buy a new vehicle. At least Nigerian Princes from Bangledesh only leave a voicemail...... Never getting a new vehicle or my truck serviced here again; spread the word.

User

Terrible service.

Took a work vehicle in to get a passenger mirror fixed.

1st time mirror had not arrived. They didn't call to tell me to not come in to the appointment.

2nd time in days later. Mirror arrives. Sit in the waiting room for 40 mins. It's the wrong one.

3rd time I drop it off and go for a walk. They install the mirror but the wiring is backwards and the power adjust is all reverse. Also the mirror has curves so everything looks warped through that mirror.

Terrible service and incompetent service staff.

User

Not professional, not accountable...

Brand new Ford Explorer purchased from the showroom a year and half ago, brought in for rear sensors which have not worked for a year, however there was never a service tech to check it when we had booked appts.

Well today with a booked appt, (again left it in their care) to then get a call saying our warranty is now being waived as it appears we had damage/work done to it??

Again we bought new from you...

You have only serviced it..other than an oil change we waited for elsewhere.

Bullshit is what I call this.

Service was not accountable, not taking any fault but simply implied we are lying...

Are you kidding me?

Re think your purchase here, your service appts and all.

If they are covering up simple rear sensors what could they be hiding from you??

We will tell BBB and contact Ford Canada, but most importantly want the people to know...stay away!

User

I was misled with the advertisement that says that no appointment necessary for oil change

I came at 6:15 pm and they are open until 8 pm yet they did not accept to do oil change

Next time fi not fool the public with false advertisement

User

I bought a used car drive off lot allignment was was off and fan was making noise I called them they set up an appointment took car back fixed my problems I got car back noticed a sag and small pull still shaking

And in the cold my door handle snapped ( probly my

fault ) I called them got the car back to them they went through it found lifter needed relplacing and they fixed my door handle !!! Next day new parts on Monday and they will let me use my car till parts are in

These guys changed an angry / disappointed customer to a time wasted upset take it back ..

Got car back alignment better still shakes getting wide and worse I don’t have time to fight with theses guys

User

I bought 2009 Ford Excape in 2012. I bought a 84 month extended warranty from Tricare the salemen said it was bumper to bumper, it wasn't cheap! I have called twice on parts for my Ford Excape that is not covered! also I bought a rust module, and my car is rusting! So people be aware, don't buy these Extended warranty they are useless and a waste of money!

User

Hi, I did not have a very good experience yesterday getting my truck serviced. They did not inform me of the extra "recommended" wheel alignment that needed to be done, and then tried to charge me for it without providing any proof that the wheels were out of alignment to begin with. The young woman at the front desk was very apologetic and corrected my invoice, but it makes me wonder about my previous truck service and the list of parts that they "recommended" that needed to be changed which I trusted them at the time and got them changed. I feel like I have to go under the hood and do some due diligence for the fluid changes I received. They also recommended that I needed more parts for my truck this time. I'm glad I declined this time and I will be taking my truck elsewhere for hopefully for honest service. Thanks

User

Do not under any circumstances walk into this dealership, buy a vehicle or better yet, let them service it.

I understand issues arise regarding vehicles, it's how the dealers handle these issues. I have an all out lemon of a truck and Advantage Ford refuses to stand by their vehicles. Even Ford Canada has been no help, thus I am left on the hook to pay for repair after repair. My truck has 90k on it and I've had nothing but problems.

I have a 2011 Ford F-150 with the ecoboost motor. I have been in over 20 times with problems on this truck. It has stalled 3 times on the hwy while passing other vehicles. It has had a number of recalls and even most recently at 80k, they to put in a new motor. I have lost countless days with my truck in the shop ( >30) 2 weeks with a rental alone. I am now paying $$ for multiple electronic issues.

Kendal the Service Manager and Shane the Sales Manager should find other jobs. Kendal ignores me when I am in and Shane is no better. He blew me off three times last week to the point I went in and had a face to face with him. He blamed his service advisors for his poor communication. He ultimately asked me not to bring my vehicle back as I didn't buy it from Advantage. Pardon? You have serviced it since the start? You have sent me home saying we can't replicate your stalls....Then two weeks later I need a new motor?

Last week after having it in for the entire day with again multiple issues, they charged me $200 and only addressed 2/3 concerns and I was told they would need it for two days. I would have to pay for repairs and rent a vehicle out of my own pocket. Again what? One of my issues was the inside beeping noise the vehicle makes when a seat belt is not buckled. The beeping continues for five minutes. The service advisor told me, in a whisper, that she shouldn't tell me this as Ford tells them not to tell the customer...."Easiest fix is to clean your back up sensors, but I'm not supposed to tell you that." Thanks again Ford for trying to stick it to me.

So what's the easiest thing for Advantage Ford to do? Not deal with the real issues and tell the customer to go elsewhere to have their repairs done. Yes please, thanks again Ford.

On my way out of the dealership, I told Shane that I was happy to provide feedback on my experience with Advantage... He then promptly replied that he had something in his power that he could somehow negatively affect me. Pardon Shane....did you threaten me?

PS...also on their service check sheets? The ones they mark off for properly functioning equipment...They don't actually check if the headlights are working, they don't check to ensure all equipment is working properly unless it's obvious. Lazy mechanics I suppose, because I love showing them all the things they missed on their vehicle health report. This happens every visit.

User

After selling me a used truck that was in an accident (they said it was accident free), lied to by the finance manager about what warranty I was buying (asked for Ford Factory and they gave me their in house), they finally took the truck back at a loss to me and asked me what my plans were now. After saying I would be buying a new truck they said we can beat any price in Alberta and wanted to make it up to me. I got a price from Go Ford and gave them the quote. Word for word the email that was returned was "We can't match that price they are selling it to you for way under cost". Save yourself a terrible experience and go to Go Ford in Edmonton.

I had to take my Explorer in today for service (new power take off unit) and I just need to give a shout out to Dione in service. She was great to deal with and went out of her way to make sure this was a good experience for me.

User

Had issues with car. Had it checked out today thankful Issue was a minor one. Fixed at no cost to me even though warranty has expired. Friendly Employees

I bought 2009 Ford Excape in 2012. I bought a 84 month extended warranty from Tricare the salemen said it was bumper to bumper, it wasn't cheap! I have called twice on parts for my Ford Excape that is not covered! also I bought a rust module, and my car is rusting! So people be aware, don't buy these Extended warranty they are useless and a waste of money!
