Tips to keep your teeth happy and healthy over the holidays: -Avoid snacking throughout the day; try to consume foods and treats at mealtimes only -Sip on water during your meals and throughout the day. This helps prevent foods and sugars from sticking to your teeth until you are able to brush -Avoid carbonated beverages and try to limit super sugary desserts -Brush and floss!

Today is the first day of winter! Although it's felt like winter for the last few weeks, today officially marks the shortest day of the year and the beginning of the winter season.

The average person spends about 48 seconds per day brushing their teeth, but dentists recommend at least 2 minutes, both day and night! Set yourself a timer when brushing to ensure you are brushing for the proper amount of time!

Remember the iconic scene from the movie The Hangover, when Ed Helms pulled his own tooth out? Well that actually happened...sorta! Ed has a dental implant in place of his actual tooth, so when the time came to film the scene, he had a dentist loosen the crown on top so he was able to pull the crown off and pull the scene off! Cool!

I am not a fan of going to the dentist but my experience at Affinitey was very good. The staff is very professional and explain all the procedures that you will be getting done. They definitely do everything they can to help take the edge off of going to the dentist. Highly recommend this dental office!!!
