I'd give them zero stars if I could..(Emergency Department). Untrainted, unqualified staff. Zero common sense.. My baby brother was treated as a "thing". They don't communicate properly, don't treat each case as individual... Horrible experience.(I have no idea what are these doctors and nurses studying for!)

One of the doctors literally said to me

"It's all in your head"

Just to mention a few of my symptoms:
I've been sick for a year and a half straight! I can barely get out of bed! Every time I eat (I can only eat mashed potatos and applesauce) my stomach swells up to the size of a nine month pregnant woman and I almost pass out! I can't even walk because of how much pain I'm in! I've lost like 50 pounds unintentionally! I have to take 7 doses of restoralax every day and I still can barely go to the bathroom! I drink about 10L of water everyday!

My stomach hurts 24/7 and swells up every single time I eat to the point where I sometimes do pass out because of how much pain I'm in! That's definitely all in my head :)

Also after waiting for 5 months I was supposed to get an MRI on my stomach and they did it on my head and then I had to wait another 3 or 4 months to get another MRI that was actually on my stomach.

Btw not all the people who work there are like this. When I got an endoscopy the people that worked there seemed like they genuinely cared and one of them even held my hand when I was getting knocked out with the gas😂

Other than the people who work in the surgery section, a few nurses, and a few others that work in other parts of the hospital most of the people that I HAVE SEEN came across like they were just there for the money and really don't care about your well being.

Anyways I'd like to say thank you to the people who work in this hospital that actually try to help and actually care about their patients. I appreciate everything that you guys are doing, thank you very much

Get tonsil surgery done last Thursday for my brother which seemed like it went great. 6 days later, he's coughing up a lot of blood. Midnight we get an ambulance to take him to the Alberta children's hospital. Staff if friendly but first they say the surgeon will be here at 7 am. 7 am comes around than they say noon. They need to get their stuff organized and find more surgeons instead of making kids and their families wait for 11 hours while doing nothing.

Typical hospital. It is probably great for surgeries and the like, but emerg is no different and no better then anywhere else. Expect really long wait times.

Best experience we have ever had at a hospital nothing but happy nurses and friendly staff the food in the cafeteria was way better then anticipated 5 star rating all the way

Outstanding! I couldn't of felt more comfortable and confident in a care team for my baby! Communication and organization is amazing!!!

Such great and helpful staff. It does not feel like a hospital. The cafeteria has a wide variety of food and lots of gluten free options.

Inexperienced doctors- My son was taken to emergency twice, two different times for very high fever. I had no option but to take him to the hospital as my family physician was not available on that very day. At both the instances doctors checked him and made us go through all the painful tests. It was very difficult on us and our baby. They sent us home saying it was merely a viral infection it will take its course and will go away by it self. I took my son to my family physician at the immiddiate next appointment and she diagnosed my son with ear infection and the second time with throat infection. She showed me the redness my son had in his ears and throat that no Dr should be able to miss it.

I really love this place. They treat you so well and its so kid-friendly. I had a broken foot and this place made me feel so nice and helped me a lot. I am so glad a place like this exists! :)
