Another mid day trip out to chase some eyes, the weather has turned around and it's beautiful out! Roadside Minnows and Rock Hard Tackle for the win.

Slow afternoon on the ice chasing Rainbows. I always like to fish the morning bite but yesterday we had a late start. With the cold weather it's so much harder to hole hop, so leaving Erin in the Jeep to stay warm I bust some holes and with in 10 minutes mark 3, miss 1 and lost one while on the phone talking with my dad lol. So we got the hut up and marked fish every 20 mins or so some times they would hit some times just cruise by. Using the Rock Hard Tackle Shad darters and the RoadSide Minnows Micro Minnow we were able to land these very selective biting trout in the end!

Great day at the Gull lake derby! My Derby partner Kayden aka Slayden took first in the largest fish under 15! We were using Rock Hard Tackle Shad Darts and Roadside Minnows Micro Nano Fry, What a combo! No bait needed the fish we're nailing them, and even when we had some bait on numerous times the perch would hit the body and just hold on to it instead of going for the bait. More testing today, stay tuned.

Great weekend in the mountains with our good friends from Adventure Ice Fishing. We headed west to Target bass and perch for a long weekend in BC. We also met up with a friend Adam and his kids from a day. The fishing was a little slower then last year but still some awesome fish landed and always a great time! Till the next adventure...
