Since each piece will be custom made, I cannot possibly give a complete price list. The price list posted on this site is intended to be a guide. Once we have discussed the details of your order, I can quote you a price. I accept personal cheque, e-mail money transfer, cash and PayPal.

Basic pricing
These prices are meant to be a starting point so you have an idea of cost. These prices do not include "specialty" or sterling silver components, beads or pendants, but would include basic non-silver components to make the piece.

Prices (Canadian $)

Sorting fee for all orders is $15 (Each bundle of horsehair requires sorting and a lot of processing to make your item. It is time intensive. )

Sterling items cost extra, prices will vary due to different vendors and they must be ordered. They take 2-8 weeks to arrive, generally. Please pre-pay for these items as soon as possible, as it will ensure they arrive in a timely manner. I will text /e-mail /pm you about them with a picture and the cost.

Have a great pendant, bead or charm you want on your new jewelry? No problem, just mail it along with your horse hair and I will put it on.

Sterling silver fittings /components cost extra and are by request. Pandora type beads and charms can be fitted on prior to completion on thinner styles (such as the spiral and square braid).

If your horse is passed on I will work with whatever horsehair you have. Otherwise, tail hair must be used for all items (except tassels) as mane hair is fragile and very time consuming which could incur extra cost.


***How to collect horsehair for jewelry:
All you need is about a pencil to thumbs width of (relatively) clean tangle free tail hair, the longest tail hair you can get. Square braiding requires more hair, as does the basket weave style. Cleaner is better, no conditioners or sprays please. Brush it well first. Band the top of the hair tightly & cut it from the tip of the dock of the tail. Take from several different places so it is not so noticeable. You want the longest tail hairs possible as the length of your piece will be determined by how long the horse hair is (you will need double or more of the length of the finished piece). Don't take hair from the side of the tail unless you don't care if you can see a patch missing. Ensure it is completely dry (this is essential). A second method is to collect tail hairs when you brush their tail out. This will take some time but if you have a show horse and you can't bear to cut their tail, every hair is valuable for your piece. Band the top of the hair. Coil the hair loosely around your hand a couple times and place it in a zip-lock, then in your envelope.
