Alberta Mozart Society

Officially established in 2014, but running annual festivals since 2011, the Alberta Mozart Society is a non-profit initiative focused on elevating interest and appreciation of Western Art music - especially that of the 18th century. We intend to put on performances to make music accessible and enjoyable to a wide variety of people in Alberta. ObjectivesTo promote interest, performance, and study of classical music and arts culture, especially that of the 18th century, in Alberta, with an emphasis on historically informed performance, To specifically operate concerts and related festival events which will showcase the talents of local performing artists, To help preserve and document historical texts, scores, and other documents related to the study of 18th century music, andTo provide recreation and fulfillment for its members through music education, performance and study.
