Just because you’re in your 70s doesn’t mean you can’t be cool! Yesterday was soooo hot in Stettler! Jimmy Potter turned his hat to the side, trying to keep the sweat from his eyes. I hope you all are keeping hydrated out there! How do you keep cool in the blazing heat?

Alberta Prairie is at the core a small town family business. We care about our passengers and the experiences they have on our excursions. We have 29 years of service under our belt, and hopefully just as many more wait ahead! We are getting ready for our 4 train trips this weekend! We still have space on each of our Country Dinners, Thursday through Sunday. The floors are all swept, mopped, and vacuumed, and the windows are glinting in the sun, awaiting more child noses of wonder and excited finger pointing. We're just waiting on you to join us.

we just did the polar express train ride and it was amazing! Watching the magic of Christmas through my kids eyes was an experience I will never forget! Very well organized and the staff were all great!

We took our daughter and family on the Polar Express. What a magical evening! So well done. We all enjoyed it. Going home with memories we will never forget and continue to talk about at our family get togethers.

Absolutely exceptional, I highly recommend it to everyone of all ages.

When you get off the train your heart is so full of happiness and belief. Truly a perfect start to the holidays.

We took 48 people on the polar express the staff was amazing things went super smooth all our kids group LOVED it Hot chocolate and dancing were there favourites, staff kindness and help were the leaders and all the questions we got about our group thank you! Highly recommend this

We just left the Polar Express and can't say enough about how great of an experience this was! All of my children loved the whloe experience as did my husband and I! The staff were so friendly and helpful and in character the while time, it was a magical evening that will not forget!

We just did the Polar express, the kids loved it and want to make it a yearly tradition! We will definitely go again �

We drove from Saskatchewan just for the train ride with 3 little children and I would definitely do it again. All I saw on my 3 year olds face was pure magic. It was wonderful.

We all had an awesome Polar Express Excursion. Every member of staff that we interacted with were awesome . They all made this experience first class . Keep up the good work . Well done everyone !!

The Pumpkin Fest was a wonderful event! An extremely fair ticket price for a charming event. Upon arriving at the pumpkin patch we were greeted by a Jr. engineer (who gave the children bags of gummy treats) & a witch. The whole area was decorated with pumpkins, square bale minions, and a variety of inflatable Halloween themed characters. There was live entertainment- a dancing Scarecrow troop that got the crowd involved in the dances and a non- scary clown. Each passenger received a strong, reusable orange bag to carry home their pumpkin. As well hot chocolate, coffee, juice, and water were provided along with an amazing pumpkin cookie (seriously amazing).



The staff were helpful- even carrying pumpkins for families with small children.



What a fabulous family event! Thank you for a great experience.

Thank you for a wonderful trip to the North Pole tonight. We really enjoyed our time on the Polar Express. There is a very happy 5 year old that got to see the real Santa. Everyone on the train was so great thanks again a job well done

My family and I loved the Steam Engine Train ride. I have two boys (three and a one year old) who were always entertained by the staff, the play area and the robbery. The staff are amazing, entertaining, helpful and patient. Big Valley was a beautiful place to visit. Friendly environment, wonderful supper and a beautiful community. We will definitely be back in the future!!

My family absolutely loved the experience on the polar express. We highly recommend it to our family and friends. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming to my children. The staff on the train had my kids into conversations and included everyone as everyone felt apart of the polar express journey.

Can’t wait to book in on the next event.

My daughter and I went on the polar express in settler on December 14 2017 it was great night for the both of us the staff were vary friendly and out going.....

It was my very first time and my fiancé seventh time and cannot say enough about the fantastic experience!! From the friendly staff and amazing food and entertainment the whole experience was first class. Thanks so much to my Marilee for the early birthday gift and a memory that will last a life time.

It was magical! Made us feel like we were children again � our little one enjoyed and truly believed��� Thank you for the experience. See you next year!

Absolutely terrific value and experience for the money! We celebrated our 3 year anniversary with the steam engine excursion and we were not disappointed. The train ride was leisurely. We had wonderful weather. Enjoyed the prairie views, entertainment and saloon on board. Never met such polite train robbers! The dinner was delicious and the historical sites at Big Valley were pleasant and informative. We will most definitely be doing this again. Thank you Stettler and Big Valley for such a wonderful experience and for keeping our prairie history alive!

6 children and 7 adults on The Polar Express on December 16, 2017. I would highly recommend this to everyone... No matter your age! All the entertainment staff were so welcoming. They really made it an enjoyable experience. The kids did not stop smiling the entire time... Which caused the "big kids" to feel the magic too. We left the train with our hearts filled with the Christmas spirit! Thank you for the wonderful evening!!

The trip was great! At first, the seats kind of put me off because there isn't much space, but once we got up and wandered around, it was great! The entertainment in the lounge car was a hoot!! We were on the Newfoundlander and were a little disappointed in the steak & lobster (it was over cooked) but there was plenty of food and the Fiddle and Stix entertainers were fun. There was lots going on in Big Valley and we had a great time for our anniversary! Thank you!!

Overall it was a good experience not just for my little boy but for the adults too. But i think they could improve more on their presentation/skit. My boy was so fascinated with the golden ticket and the silver bell... the souvenir mug was awesome too. For the price of the tickets were really worth it.
