Alberta Public Health Association

APHA is a leading voice for public health and works to strengthen the impact of those who promote and protect the highest standard of public health. We were founded in 1943 and incorporated as a registered charitable organization in 1955. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and do not currently have any staff. Our mandate is to provide leadership on issues affecting the health of Albertans, advocate on issues that affect health, provide educational and networking opportunities for members, provide mechanisms to seek and discuss issues and views of members and partners, and provide expertise and consultation in public and community health.
