Alberta Recycling Management Authority (Arma)

About Alberta Recycling Management Authority (Arma)

Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) acts on behalf of the province to oversee the recycling of electronics, paint, tires, and used oil materials. Alberta's recycling sector contributes nearly $1 billion annually to the province's GDP, and more than 7, 500 direct jobs. Additionally, ARMA supports the administration of the Northwest Territories' electronics recycling program and Yukon's tire recycling program. Our industry is rooted in the principle of a circular economy where resources and products are kept in use for as long as possible, and regenerated into new products and materials at the end of their previous life-cycle.
