Today is the last day to renew your plates if your last name starts with 'K' or 'N'. We are open until 4:30 today, and as always, are open over the lunch hour.

Does your Surname begin with 'K' or 'N'? If so, this is your month to renew your plates! Come in now and beat the rush. Check out our webcam on our website that shows our waiting room to find out if you'll have a wait.

We are now taking bookings for road tests online! You can book an appointment at our registry for yourself or your teen at www.roadtesting.ca with just your credit card and driver's license number. Or if you'd rather, you can come into our office and we will book it for you, and you can use any of methods of payment (debit, credit, cash, cheque).

Did you know that you can no longer use the back of the registration as a bill of sale? A standardized Bill of Sale can be found at http://www.servicealberta.ca/pdf/mv/REG31 26.pdf, or you can come into our office and pick up blanks. Registry Agents are required to see original Bills of Sale if it is a private sale, so faxed, emailed or photocopies are not acceptable for registration purposes.

We are closed today, April 14 (Good Friday) through Monday April 17 (Easter Monday). We will reopen with our usual hours on Tuesday, April 18.

We are back at work and regular hours resume today. January is your renewal month if your last name (or business name) begins with 'A', 'I', 'J', 'Ke' 'U' or 'X'. Additionally, if your business name starts with a number, your plates are due for renewal by the end of the month.

If your family name begins with 'D' or 'G', your plates need to renewed before the end of this month! As you won't have a renewal notice to bring in, just bring your expiring registration and your insurance and we will be glad to help you.

We are now booking Motorcycle (class 6) road tests, beginning on April 11. You can do your written test for class 6 anytime, and is required prior to your motorcycle road test. Come in or call today to book.

Have you signed up yet to receive an email or text notice when your plates are due to renew? As of April 1, you will no longer receive renewal notices in the mail, so you will need to bring in your expiring registration (or at least a list of your plate numbers) with your proof of insurance to make sure that we can renew all of your plates.

If your Family name begins with 'B' or 'Y', your plates expire at the end of this month. If your Family name begins with 'D' or 'G', your plates will expire at the end of April. Don't forget that you can renew your plates anytime prior to your renewal date without 'losing' any time on your current registration; it will simply continue your registration one year from your current renewal date.

Now that we are no longer receiving renewal reminders, it will be up to you to bring in the information that we will need to renew your plates. The quickest method is to bring in your old registration, along with proof of insurance. Alternately, if you know your plate number, we can easily renew with that information and your proof of insurance.
