Alison has two photographic loves: family photojournalism and fine art landscapes. She approaches both genres with an eye for finished art.

Family photojournalism refers to a documentary-style approach to capturing family. This means unposed, undirected, honest, storytelling photographs. Imagine a 1950’s photojournalist shooting your story. This is the antithesis of trendy, filtered, and over-processed images: this is classic, timeless photographic art.

Fine art landscape refers mainly to the photographs that Alison has created out in nature. The intent of these images is to bring a natural beauty and calmness into the home. While best enjoyed as gallery-style wall art, she also offers an Affordable Art line of greeting cards.

Alison believes that the art of photography must always culminate in a finished product. A digital file should not be the end that we are striving for. Alison works with only the very best professional labs to deliver the highest quality, archival products available on the market.
