Amber Mclachlan Leavitt Description

Hey there! I am a working mother of three. The day that I found out I was pregnant with my first child, I decided that I needed to make sure that I lived a healthy lifestyle so that I could be around to see my children grow up and have children of their own. The first step was to quit smoking.

Fast forward 6 years, mid-March 2012, I am sitting at my kitchen table with my laptop open to Facebook. I just finished drinking my third cup of coffee of the morning. While chatting with my husband of 8 years and watching him make a post workout protein shake which I have seen him do a million times. . . and I realize. . . I had never actually taken any steps towards my goal of living a healthier lifestyle since quitting smoking. I don't workout, I don't watch what I eat, I rarely take my kids to the park or out for a walk. I am nothing close to being active, never been athletic and am afraid to sweat!

My best friend who lives an hour and a half away from me had invited me to a home challenge party for Body By Vi Challenge Party. I did not attend the party, but after everyone had left her house for the evening, she called me and told me that she had signed up to become a promoter and that she wanted me to do the same. . . . I was ALL IN! This was the perfect opportunity to keep myself accountable to my goal of becoming healthier!

In joining The Challenge, I was motivated to choose a health, weight loss or fitness goal every 90 days to help me achieve my goal of becoming healthier and more active.

My 1st 90 Day Challenge Goal was to start RUNNING!

In February, I had found out about a run that was going to be taking place in September 2012 in my area, and I laughed when someone asked me if I wanted to try it out. I have never been a runner and was sure that I wouldn't be able to learn because I ran out of breath running up the 10 stairs to the main floor of my house to catch the phone before the third ring. All of a sudden, I was determined to change. . . and my sights were set on a Half Marathon (and at the time, I did not know how far a half marathon actually was), and I had 6 months to get myself into shape!


My journey has evolved over the years. At first, I stuck to doing 90 day challenges with Body By Vi. With each new 90 Day Challenge, I incorporated different aspects of health or fitness and did a lot of research to find out what it was that best suited me, my body and my lifestyle. Fitness really did BECOME my lifestyle and I have since moved on from MLM companies and have started setting longer term goals such as competing in Figure competitions with the ABBA and getting certified as a personal trainer.

I started personal training so that I could share my passion with those around me. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to help people find the fun in working out, to give motivation and to give them a chance to feel what it feels like to inspire others around them as well. It is my mission to help my clients also find their passion in fitness and achieve their health & fitness goals.
