Just a reminder that the jazz jam tonight has been rescheduled to tomorrow (Tuesday Aug. 7) due to the long weekend!

Jazz musicians of Calgary, please join us at Ambrose University for a special TUESDAY evening jam at 8:00pm on August 7 (the university is closed on Monday Aug. 6 for the stat holiday)! The host band this evening will feature Dennis Kwok, Augustine Yates, Jon Wielebnowski, and Jacob Wutzke.
Parking is available on the south side of the main campus building. To locate the choral classroom, go straight up the stairs once you enter the building, turn right into the music wing, and then you will see the large choral room to the right at the end of the hall area.

We will be having a special host band for this jam consisting of current Ambrose University students, featuring Nick Graham on tenor sax, Ben Tizzard on guitar, Eddie Kim on bass, and John Jantzen on drums.

Today is the day, Ambrose Jazz Jammers! The July 9th Ambrose Jazz Jam will commence at 8:00pm with a short opening set by our house band! Grand piano, drum kit, and amps provided!

The second jam of our summer series takes place tomorrow at Ambrose in the choral classroom from 8:00-11:00pm! There is no cover for this jam and drums, piano, and amps will be provided!

Although Jingleheimer Schmidt cannot be present on this evening, please join Joel Untinen as he attempts to channel the fabled spirit of Jingleheimer, along with the illustrious Jon Wielebnowski on bass and Jacob Wutzke on drums. Jon, Jacob...and Joel take the stage at Gravity Espresso and Wine bar to present two sets of jazz repertoire ranging from standards to Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Jim Hall, Pat Metheny, and Freddie Hubbard.
Cover is $10.
