Amazing day of helpers. We could not have asked for a better weather day. Thank you to Dale, Ron, Mikhail, Robbie, Garrett, Frankie, Jenelle, Josh on dismantling of old enclosure. Inside help of Frankie, Ron and Will on electrical. Great progress day.

#Angel’s Update: Finally got the electrical hookup ready for Enmax again. Waiting to hear on the connection. Starting to meet with inspectors - changes required....
This weekend we start to remove the front of the old building to prepare for removal.
Any available hands available will be so welcome.

Oh my.... things are getting completed. 👏👏👏still waiting on electricity. Challenging us in this new install. Thanks to Kevin Ivey and cousin Ron for getting a good start on the cold switch install. Thank you to our musical angel Deiter who comes faithfully every Sunday to offer a hand where ever need. ❤️👏👏👏 Thanks to my family for pitching in to get this done. Love you all so much. Almost there. Thanks to Ron and dale on getting some cleanup before the snow flies. Hoping to move more items out of old to new this week and prepare the old for removal. check out our other Angel’s ....

Update: #Angel’s #Cafe ... so finally got the call from #Enmax...pole is in and ready for hookup. But wtf .... we are told that we can’t hookup yet as we are required to put in cold sequence switch ahead of the meter box by electrical code????? $3000 dollars and still rising on installation. Then we can call back inspector for hookup and sign off on that piece. 🤪oh well just another growing curve. Today is a Big day to start dismantling inside the old to move to th...e new. Floors are completed and ready for door jams and trim boards to finish off. Bathrooms need to be assembled. Frankie was amazing with the installation of the flooring with me helping where needed. Dale has still had the week to help with all other craziness to get closer. Looking for lots of strong hands to help move heavy appliances over to new building. Good start to the flooring today. Special thanks to Mel Lowen who gave us the required guidance to get things this far with Frankie ❤️👏👏 Dale got lots of leveling in required areas ready for another day tomorrow. Thanks to ALEX and Joshua for work on hanging tiles after Dale spent a couple days get the hangers ready. Kevin has a couple more days of drywalling and then he is finally complete. IKEA shopping tonight so the boys have another job to start tomorrow.

All better Again. We may have further cracks but we are feeling very good about the repairing and warmth that this new space will be for us all to enjoy. Ready to start flooring tomorrow 👏👏👏👏

Update: Still no word from Enmax! Soooo I am sure by now that you can’t imagine that we would have any further challenges with this project, right? 🤣🤣🤣 Upon our return to work following our Christmas break this was the condition of our exciting new building. There were cracks everywhere. All the ceiling panels seams opened up again. BUT our amazing drywaller Kevin, went straight back to work and repaired everything. You rock dear man. Highly recommend this young si...r. NOW it is amazing again. Thank you to our buddy Brain who recommended another mudding compound that fixed the flexing issue. No further cracking 👏👏👏 I started repainting most of the areas and tomorrow Frankie and I will be back up on the scaffolding to repaint the ceiling. We got lots of work done with our team and we are excited to starting flooring once we complete the re-painting. We can hardly wait to have you come by and enjoy the finished product. Feeling good and excited to complete this part of our journey. Lots of cleaning to be done very soon. ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Looking for guidance to lay the commercial plank flooring. No budget to pay sadly but willing to do whatever is necessary to move forward. Anyone available to guide us on Monday with levelling compound to main area to start. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 we want to get this right the first time.

Back at it at the #cafe today. We recieved news from the #city that we need to make a new application because of the changes that were required. We are not sure what this means yet. I am working through the feelings daily to stay light in spite of all the challenges. It was wonderful to have a break from this project and catch my breath again. I want to send out a big thank you again for those amazing folks that have shown up to help where possible. Big hugs. Onward and upwards. 🥂

#MerryChristmas to all our dear #Friends and #Family. Update: Today will be our last day before we take a break till after #Boxing Day. Things are starting to come together. We did not get hooked up for power from #Enmax and it looks like they just laid off 7 of their 12 crews. We are praying that the#NewYear brings a power. So sad for all the family if those crews to receive that lump of coal. We can’t get much done until the power is hooked up. We are looking forwa...rd to spending time with those we love for the holidays. Best wishes to you and yours from all that is ours.

Keeping it moving Dale will be hoping for extra hands to help him again this weekend to do more patio. He works by my side after 5 day work days at his job. I am so proud of our family for all that is getting done and lots behind the scenes. Dale and I couldn’t get this much done without all the family. Thanks to son Ryan who finally was able get an afternoon to help his dad (Dale) with his busy work schedule and 3 young children. 🙏🏻 Thanks to son in law Dave that helped after long work days, to do more engineer drawings for the city. I wish this project didn’t take so much from family time but dream of many special days to come to celebrate with everyone the accomplishments that we have weathered. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My dear friends. I want to take a moment to appreciate all the wonderful folks that have been part of the change at #Angel’s. As many know this has been a very big event in our lives. Today I am taking a pause to let go and allow whatever is meant to be. No more pushing and pulling to make things happen. When things feel bigger than we can manage and knowing that is not possible. We will not be open for Christmas as we had hoped but I am making peace with this. Thank you all for following our dream to completion. Stay tuned. ❤️❤️❤️

#Angel’s is moving forward. Closer each day. Enmax is awaiting a payment to cover their $30,000 bill to look at giving us power. Almost there! One lottery win will do. 😂 This weekend we are looking for more hands to help with patio. Gloves and screw guns are a great help for anyone with a little available time. Sunday sanding walls and ceilings should be done inside. Painting next week and then we look at getting the flooring in. THEN we can look at moving old cafe stuff over so we can transfer to the new cafe.
