ANSWERS stands for: Advocacy Normalizing Sex Work through Education and Resources Society. Our Mission: Supporting sex workers in Alberta through outreach, education, and support services, and shifting public ideology in order to facilitate change in the Federal legislation. ANSWERS is for decriminalization and destigmatization. Our Vision: To have a community of sex workers that is fully integrated, accepted, safe and enjoys equal opportunities within Canadian society. Services we offer with the help of Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) and those who donate to our organization: - Small amounts of income support, licensing fee support. - Counseling services, art therapy, and life coaches covered 50-100% . - Accounting services for filing taxes covered up to 75% . - Access to a respite space that offers safe sex supplies, computer & printer /scanner, gently used lingerie, a meeting place, and a library. - Sex worker-allied directory of vetted professionals. - KN95 face masks and hand sanitizer. - Free Online Art Studio support for sex workers (monthly). - Subsidized health benefits such as: eye and dental care, physiotherapy, massage therapy, meds, and others. - Sobriety without Stigma: informal in-person support group for those struggling with any kind of substance use disorder.
