I have lived worked and played in the Bow Valley since 1992 and understand the importance of confidential, quality services offered locally.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an unofficial minor in Sociology 89’ , Bachelor of Social Work with honors 90’ and an Extension Certificate in Conflict Resolution for Mediation and Negotiation (220hours) 2010. I also completed the Legal Education Society of Alberta Family Mediation course (40hours). I am a Registered Family Mediator with the Alberta Family Mediation Society and have been
a Registered Social Worker since 1998 and continually upgrade my skills in the areas of relationship counseling, parenting and family issues and mediation.
I am a Parenting After Separation (PAS) facilitator and an accredited Triple P: Positive Parenting practitioner.
For the past 15 + years I have worked in the Community Enrichment service area with the Town of Canmore. In my roles with FCSS and the Bow Valley Parent Link I’ve worked with children and adults providing a range of individual and group counseling and support services as well as facilitating seminars.
My years as a relationship counselor and working with families dealing with separation divorce led me to the field of mediation.
Mediation is a process that allows the people involved to be supported through a conversation that increases understanding, is respectful and balanced and seeks to resolve disputes.
