What is Ozone?
• A naturally occurring gas that may be formed through the interaction of oxygen and electricity
• A highly soluble gas which can be dissolved in water
• A powerful natural sanitizer that works similarly to chlorine bleach by directly oxidizing and destroying a microorganism’s cell wall thereby destroying the microorganism
• A power natural sanitizer whose antimicrobial properties have been known for over a century.

Viriditec® generators produce nanoscopic sized bubbles in liquids called nanobubbles. Ordinary bubbles quickly rise to the surface and burst but the smaller nanobubbles have a lower buoyancy and remain suspended in liquids for a longer period of time. Due to this unique characteristic, dissolved oxygen-rich solutions can be produced for various fields of applications including the deactivation of organisms.

Viriditec® generates nanoscopic size bubbles (10-9 nanometers) which are called nanobubbles. A single nanometer is one million times smaller than a millimeter. If you take one thousandth of a millimeter, you have one micrometer, or a single micron. If you then divide that micron by 1, 000, you have a nanometer. Needless to say, a nanometer is extremely small.

Aqueous Ozone - is approved by Health Canada the EPA and FDA as a 100% natural, safe and effective cleaner and sanitizer. Its inherent ability to destroy viruses and bacteria is dependent on two main variables; Initial concentration of ozone in the water (ppm) and contact or dwell time (seconds). In most cases the sanitizing ability of the aqueous ozone increases as either or both variable is increased. Nano bubble technology allows the Viriditec® system to accomplish this task with ambient air and low concentrations of ozone. The charts below measure the power of aqueous ozone and time required to destroy bacteria and viruses at a strength of 2 ppm.
