Autism Edmonton Description

Since 1971, Autism Edmonton (Autism Society of Edmonton Area) has been providing services and support to people in the community who are living with autism spectrum disorder. Autism Edmonton has become known as a "go-to" source that connects families, individuals and professionals with autism-related resources.

Our Community Gardens helped many of our members stay out and enjoy the beautiful warm weather, connect with nature, meet new friends, and be healthy. Struggling with food insecurity? Join our Pantry Program that is designed to provide access to healthy food and other essential items in an autism-friendly environment for people on the spectrum with limited income and their families.

We are pleased to announce that starting this Fall the League will be open to all Autism Edmonton members over 18 years of age. In the past, this group was limited to young adults aged 18-24. The group will be meeting four times per month. It kicks off tonight with a "Welcome Back Dinner." For more details or to schedule an intake, please email us at support@autismedmonton.org.

New diagnosis? Let us help you navigate available supports through our Family Navigator Program. This program is delivered in partnership with the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and aims to connect families that have just received a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with the appropriate level of service in a timely manner and give them emotional support.

#ThrowbackThursday to when we hosted "Raising Healthy Minds and Bodies" workshop with Zita Dube-Lockhart last year. Following the workshop, we were thrilled to offer "DiversiFit" programming to 46 participants so they could gain practical skills on how to improve their well-being and stay fit.
