The end of summer is approaching and what a wonderful one it has been! Our Community Gardens helped many of our members stay out and enjoy the beautiful warm weather, connect with nature, meet new friends, and be healthy. Don't miss your chance to join the last gardening session of the season on September 11! We look forward to seeing you there!

Struggling with food insecurity? Join our Pantry Program that is designed to provide access to healthy food and other essential items in an autism-friendly environment for people on the spectrum with limited income and their families.

We are pleased to announce that starting this Fall the League will be open to all Autism Edmonton members over 18 years of age. In the past, this group was limited to young adults aged 18-24. The group will be meeting four times per month. It kicks off tonight with a "Welcome Back Dinner." For more details or to schedule an intake, please email us at support@autismedmonton.org.

Free swim lessons for children with special needs!

New diagnosis? Let us help you navigate available supports through our Family Navigator Program. This program is delivered in partnership with the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and aims to connect families that have just received a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with the appropriate level of service in a timely manner and give them emotional support.

Autism Edmonton office will be closed on Monday, September 3 for Labour Day and will reopen on Tuesday, September 4 at 9:00 am.

#ThrowbackThursday to when we hosted "Raising Healthy Minds and Bodies" workshop with Zita Dube-Lockhart last year. Following the workshop, we were thrilled to offer "DiversiFit" programming to 46 participants so they could gain practical skills on how to improve their well-being and stay fit.

Occasio switches back to its fall schedule starting September 8. Activities will be happening three times a week during evenings and weekends. Hurry and register as spots will fill up quickly!

If you would like your Call for Participants posted on our website, please contact us by emailing at support@autismedmonton.org and telling a bit about your project, including the purpose of your research and when recruitment begins/ends. Please note: we require confirmation of ethics approval for all research studies.
