Hey guys just wondering how much acoustic guitar repair costs? I toke out some negative energy on my guitar and I miss playing it. Just looking for a repair estimate is all. Thanks Peace.

Best music store in the city. Big selection. Friendly staff. They match prices. Can't think of anything negative to say.

wasted my time for going there thinking they have the pickups that I wanted but its in their warehouse and online shows they have it in stock. The salesman told me if I buy it now he can get it 2 to 3 days. I was ready to buy it and expect you have it in your display case. Sorry not wasting my time there and money.

For the most part, I've had bad experiences here. The one cool thing they have is their 'dutch auction' gear. I ended up getting a brand new guitar half price, and the staff member was really helpful (I think his name was Bill).

I shopped here years ago and had a bad experience with one of the reps. He told me they had a guitar in stock but they had to move it from the warehouse to the store for me to buy it. I had to pay a deposit to do so. I was told a couple days later that someone else already had a deposit on it and that they would have to order one. I was given an estimate of two weeks, it ended up taking five. I understand this isn't necessarily their fault, but I was given the run-around each time I asked about it. On another occasion, I made a mistake with my credit card info on an online purchase - I wasn't notified until 2 weeks later. But here's the worst one: I tried using their "low price guarantee" on a guitar pedal that another store had for much cheaper (about half the price). I called and the guy told me "No, sorry the boss won't do that. If it's 40 or 50 dollars, sure, but any more is too much of a difference". What kind of 'guarantee' is that?! I would suggest going to the 'other' well-known Canadian store.

I have been a full time and part time professional musician and published song writer (Warner/Chappell ), for over 40 years.
During those years I have toured in both Canada and Europe.
I also have significant experience in studio work using analog tape in the 70s and using present day digital media ,DAWS and computers
. In fact I have custom built many of my own studio computers .
I am also well versed in live sound re -enforcement.
I have spent over $150,000 over the past 15 years on audio technology, and musical instruments .
All of theses monies were spent in establishments where I was treated with respect and was serviced by professional friendly informed Individuals who always went the extra mile for me.
Theses places were and still are, Long & MacQuade, both their Downtown location as well as Edmonton North .
I also enjoyed and still enjoy doing business with Vic at Lillo's music on White Ave. In Edmonton. He is a true Gentleman .
As for Axe Music , I don't think I have even purchased guitar strings from them.
I attempted to purchase from Axe on a number of occasions however each attempt ,be it in the store or on the phone left me wanting and disappointed, .
In my opinion Axe Music is not designed for experienced professional musicians .
Their staff's Knowledge base pertaining to PA and digital recording is based on biased preferences .
Much of the advice I received from their sales reps was either based on the company line or tainted form an obvious lack of practical and /or empirical knowledge.
My experience interacting with their staff felt rushed . Almost like their only interest was to make a sale whether it truly fit my needs or not.
I would not recommend them for experienced musicians or for those just starting out.
The Music stores I have dealt with and still do to this day, as mentioned earlier are a far cry from this.
I have been fortunate enough to do my dealings over the years with establishments where one's name is remembered and one's needs are properly determines and properly met .
This occurs no matter the level of ones experience. or amount one is spending.
Also if by a slim chance if what is taken home does not totally
satisfy ,these music stores allow returns and exchanges as well as trade in programs.
Sorry Axe Music.
You are in the minor leagues and totally out classed.

Go to Long and McQuade guys. There's a few decent people at Axe, but most of them are jerks. I had come in several times before and every time was full of disrespect and complete rudeness. One example is coming in and trying electric drums. I had begun playing at a very controlled level and one staff member comes in and turns the volume all the way down and walks out. He didn't bother to say a single word to me. When I asked for an explanation he went on about people trying drums but not buying them. I will never purchase anything from this joke of a place again. The manager doesn't help anything either, as I told him about my experience and he could care less. Long and McQuade is worlds better. Save yourself a headache.

the last time I was at Axe Music I was accused of trying to steal some equipment, by unprofessional and lack of courtesy staff. Instead of having a smile when you walk in and feeling welcomed, you get a what do you want attitude. I said to myself, that's it, never coming here again. I googled Gong on Jan 23, because I need one, and their site pulled up, I browsed and decided to order from them on January 23, 2016. I called last week to get an update, and was told it could take up to 4 weeks to arrive, but my order if fine and I'll be receiving an email once it's arrived at their store. Yesterday I got the following sent:
I have just been informed that the WU00722 gong you ordered has been discontinued.
We will not be able to complete this order.
As well, Wuhan cymbals no longer has a Canadian distributor, we are unable to bring in any of their products at all.

I apologize for the delay, but I was just made aware of this today.

Your online order has been cancelled and your PayPal account has been refunded in full.

Please let me know if I can help you in any other way.

I should have been informed much earlier, and should have been offered another make or another solution. Instead of here's your money back.

Rick. You know what you need? You need a door greeter. Someone who has a smile and says "Hello, can I help you with what you are looking for?"
and when I tell them what I'm looking for they can point me in the right direction to the next person who is smiling or looks to be interested in making sure I have the best experience possible while I shop. Or if I'm mingling looking around for goodies that I don't need but will buy, that there is someone that is paying attention and can talk about how great the product is or introduce me to the next best item that would suit my needs. BTW I'm sure one of your sales people intentionally had me avoid a dutch auction item...either for profit or so they can scam it. Annoyed. Let me tell ya...I'm all about the positive experience and your store is great upstairs (guitars and amps) but this downstairs is just poor. If I wasn't good at my trade and in demand I would take welfare wages and work your downstairs for about 6 months just to show these guys how to treat people. I don't even need to know anything about your junk and your reviews would be pumping..
