The Revelle brand is a prestigious private label, bringing the highest quality European-style products to an increasingly diverse and sophisticated Canadian marketplace. The bedroom had become an oasis and a sanctuary from the busy modern world. Revelle sought out the best fabric mills and designers and began a stellar line of linens that continues to fulfill the Canadian dream. All of Revelle’s bedding collections, regardless of their origin, are styled, hand cut and sewn by master crafts people here in Canada. Revelle’s customer is not only assured the highest quality of fabric, but also one of the largest selections in bedding of coloured solids, prints and jacquards. Our THOM4 clients basement is transformed into a multi-purpose family room including a wet bar, floor to ceiling library, art and collection displays, family seating / tv seating area, and custom gas fireplace feature with live edge maple mantle. On the reverse side of this library wall, niches were designed to showcase some of the owner's memorabilia collected during traveling. A combination of resilient budget-friendly materials were combined with higher-end natural artisanal pieces. Live Edge Design provided custom maple pieces for the shelving unit at the tea bar, and along the mantle at the fireplace and tv. The Installation of beadboard textured wallpaper around the fireplace and tv - a great solution for adding texture and variation. Contact us for a complimentary proposal www.codesigninteriors.ca

Interior Designer Kari Fisher was in the Comox Valley meeting with clients last week, and had the pleasure of taking in the lush spring weather. The valley is so beautiful this time of the year, and the mix of sunshine and rain prompted the leaves and blossoms to open, bringing colour back for another season. To be surrounded by such beauty is a designers dream for conjuring inspiration.

Integrating pet accessories into your home can be a challenge. A well designed space requires these items to blend in seamlessly with the existing decor. Interior designer Krista Stokes helped clients with creative design solutions, such as a dog-washing station in the mudroom. Leash hooks and plenty of cubbies ramp up the storage, while a long bench helps for lacing up boots or setting down bags. The Farmhouse Style dog kennel by Kennel and Crate features a rolling barn door that can remain wide open, and looks like a piece of furniture rather than a crate. Small spaces like the under stairs can be converted into pet suites in which all pet toys and beds can be tucked away, and creates a little oasis for beloved fur babies.

Clients from Ki Fitness & Health were immediately drawn to the Design-Build delivery for their live-work space in Tin Town, a vibrant neighborhood of Courtenay BC. From initial design concept, to project budgeting, and through to general contracting - every detail of their project was looked after. This project was a challenging and rewarding exercise in small space design on a modest budget. Some of the most notable solutions include the faux brick panels, custom yoga prop millwork integrated into a small space reserved for a water fountain, and additional storage cubbies located in a portion of the dropped ceiling framing. The entrance was inspired by Japanese gardens in which a combination of natural stone mosaic tiles and eco-friendly carpet tiles were used on the floor.

Our CoDesign team has been lucky enough to do some work/travel over the last few weeks. The bonus to having a non location dependant company, is that it allows for opportunities to travel and work in a nomadic nature. Building Designer Ryan Pelletier is currently on Vancouver Island meeting tradesmen, approved suppliers, and current CoDesign clients. On his way to Comox Valley, he made a stop in Victoria and shot this lovely photo of the ocean.

Our long term LINE3 clients invited creativity into a recent kitchen remodel in Courtenay, BC. Using the existing kitchen island, the uppers and lowers of the cabinetry around the perimeter of the kitchen were updated to offer more accessibility as well as a punch of character by use of contrasting colour. Updates included moving the fridge to another location, adding a second sky light, and adding a custom built-in indoor planting area at the large window. Graphic patterns and colours that were already prominent in the owner's personal collection of decor items were used as inspiration for the lighting, cabinetry colour, and backsplash. It was important that the existing cherry wood tone was integrated to keep the space cohesive.

These beautiful harmonious spaces offer views of nature that soothe the eyes and spirit, while carefully compiling a composition for the senses. Hanging family photos and artwork not only makes a space feel cozy, but it individualizes a room, and allows for personal expression. Typically family photos are hung in a hallway, or a stairwell with no attention paid to the layout or arrangement of the pieces. Danish designer/blogger Louise T. Johansen has displayed her photos and artwork in a way that is engaging, and showcases her eclectic mix of mediums. This technique layering personal photos with mixed artwork and books captures personal style, but also tastefully integrates family photos allowing the wall to read as one art installation.
