Lunch today: Pork and Fries Gyro, wrapped up in our amazing housemade pita!

Come in for a delicious lunch!! The Pork Gyro Bowl is available everyday from 11:30 to 3:30!

We were told to check this place out because the food was just that good! We were not disappointed, the gyro was excellent and the Greek fries were superb!! My wife and I both got a gyro, but she got the soup Bowl and I got the Greek fries! Oh man were they good!!! My wife even traded me half of her Gyro for some of my fries!! I made out like a bandit!!! It was so awesome!! The food was so fantastic, and Lincoln was an exceptional server, such great food and great service!! I wish I could go back and get more!! Well next time I’m in Banff, I definitely will!!!

We were greeted promptly in this busy, fast pace restaurant, our reservation was ready and we were seated at a lovely table. Our waiter was astounding, so passionate about Greek food, full of suggestions right away, we had the appetizer platter(so yummy) and the lamb dish that the restaurant specializes in.... seriously the best thing I've ever eatten. The food came quickly, the drinks were lovely and the water was never empty. You will not be disappointed if you eat here.

We had the most amazing meal while at The Balkin in Banff recently. We were taken care of by William - who is AMAZING - he recommended the Cucumber Collins which is now one of my favourite drinks. He was witty and charming and made us feel like we were family. His dinner suggestions were all amazing - from the flaming appetizer, sagenati - to the most delicious Mousakka!! My hubby had the rack of lamb and has never had better!! Definitely a must if you are in Banff! Thanks for making our last dining experience in Banff a great one!

The guys liked my instagram Banff picture, so I payed them a visit. Clean place, nice staff and delicious food. Will recommend!

The Balkan is easily my favourite restaurant and is by far The best place to dine in banff. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are second to none. I highly suggest dining during Greek night which is every Tuesday at 8:30pm, the Balkan hosts a belly dancer to get diners in the mood then continues with Zorba the Greek Dancers which consist of some diners dancing through the restaurant and smashing plates. Keep in mind that this is not a budget restaurant, you'll pay a pretty penny for your meal but it's worth every red cent.

The Balkan Restaurant has always been the favourite choice for my husband and I when we travel to Banff!

The Arno Psito was the best lamb shank that I have ever tasted. The Greek beer was good and the service was excellent.

I went there Friday night and had a reservation for 3. There were able to accommodate us 30 mins early. We were seated and greeted by a very friendly server who went over the menu with us. We had one person in our party who wasn't fond of Greek food. The server was able to make suggestions to help accommodate their taste and make it appealing to them.



We started with deep fried feta balls!!!! Which are soooooo amazing. Our food was served in a timely manner, atmosphere was great and our server hands down was the best I've had in a long time. Thank you

I loved this restaurant so much the first day......that I went the very next day again!! Highly recommend if you want some delicious Greek food.

I love Greek food and this was the best I've ever had. The service was awesome as well, just outstanding, you don't want to miss this place for healthy, delicious Greek.

Had a very lovely 3 course valentines special today. It's our second time visiting, definitely won't be the last. Great food and service. We had a reservation, our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

We got late into Banff on Saturday, March 18, 2017 and just wanted something light to tide us over till dinner at 8. We were going to go to the Keg but it didn't open till 4. So we saw the Balkan across Banff Avenue. Best choice! I had a peachy beverage (well 2) because was so delish. The husband has a WildRose raspberry (2 as well). We had a seafood appetizer (can't remember the name) with scallops, shrimp and mussels in a tomato sauce. And we had the flambayed shrimp. We gobbled them both up including the pita triangles that were on the side of both. Ended up being about $90 with tip so not cheap. But definitely tasty.

Overall, the Balkan Restaurant is a fantastic experience. The food is always exceptional and the cocktails are great. My latest visit was true to this. However, after dinner it seemed our server seemed to lose a bit of interest. It looked as though they were more interested in their friends at the next table. It was a pretty busy night, and while I can understand wanting to connect with friends and customers, I think it would be much more appreciated to not have to wait for some one to finish chatting with a friend. Again, the overall experience was pleasant and I’ll definitely be back.
