We were shopping for a new barbecue at the North store in Calgary and were very impressed by the help we received while trying to decide on the make and model. Although we had to pick up the BBQ at the South store due to lack of time, we would like to give credit to Jeremy for helping us decide on the Napolean Prestige for our new grill. We love shopping at Barbecues Galore and seldom leave without buying something!

We bought a Big Green Egg last year from the south location – best buy ever. Hubs is quickly on his way to becoming a grill master - and we’ve never eaten so good! The service was great – from the initial purchase & tutorial; to answering our follow up questions – even the thank you note in the mail … it was almost worth the price of the Egg itself. So darn witty. ;) Definitely make the trip down to Calgary for your BBQ needs!

Trevor is my go to guy! Awesome service, friendly staff, very well informed. Just picked up the Big Steel Keg & it's awesome. Best BBQ I have ever owned. They carry parts for just about everything they sell & it's a one stop shop. I also purchased a patio heater from the Edmonton trail location & the screen around the burner started to warp after 5 years. They replaced it no questions asked! Keep up the great work & awesome customer service.

The customer service provided by Jeremy was exceptional. There was a defect with our Napoleon fire pit table top and even though it was shortly after the warranty period had expired, Barbecues Galore agreed to replace it. They delivered and installed a new top and Jeremy followed up after the fact to ensure I was happy with the replacement. I would highly recommend this company. They stepped up to the plate and did the right thing.

Stopped by today to grab a replacement burner for the bbq. Was surprised by the quick assessment of the staff. Incredibly helpful, and when one didn't have an answer, they grabbed someone who did. This is now my one stop shop for all of my grilling needs!

My wife and I went into the Burlington location on Saturday March 18 to get some advice on grills and what would fit best with our grilling needs. Jeff on the floor was excellent and very knowledgeable about all the grills we looked at. A big plus was Jeff listened to what we were looking for and that we grill a lot and didn't take us to the most expensive grill in our price range $1000-1700, but rather the one that checked the most boxes for us. Tim at the desk was excellent and very friendly to deal with. Would absolutely recommend Barbeques Galore to friends and look forward to years of grilling on our new bbq

My husband I and stopped in here today to pick up a new starter and a rotisserie for our BBQ and were blown away by the customer service. Everyone was so helpful and so knowledgeable. We’ve never experienced such great quality of service anywhere else. 100% recommend. We will always come here for our BBQ needs. Keep up the great work guys and gals!

Love the north Calgary store but I have a big problem with the layout. Every time I go I know I am heading to the condoments in the back corner. My problem is that I have to pass all sorts of good stuff going In and back to the cash out....then some nice young lady tells me there is a special on knives, cutting boards, aprons, sauces...it doesn't matter. All of a sudden a $50 trip turns into a $150 trip.

And I keep going back. This place is addictive!

I'm from Lethbridge and am in Calgary a few times per month. I stop in at Barbecues Galore almost every time I visit, to stock up on charcoal, wood chips, rubs, and a lot of other things my wife doesn't know I buy. The stores are always immaculate, there is never a hard time finding staff to talk to (they will find you), the customer service is top notch (I've never carried a bag of lump to my vehicle, they always insist), and they carry all of my favorite BBQ products (BGE'er). I love their newsletter too - definitely a must-read/subscribe! Great job, highly recommend.

I went to the Calgary North store, I was greeted by a young sales associate as soon as I walked in. He was super helpful in helping me pick out some Charcoal, wood chunks as well as some other accessories for my grill

I can't say enough about the selection and customer service at both Calgary locations. Their product line is unmatched, and the knowledgable staff make your experience painless. The only issue is that every time I visit the store I add to my collection of products!!

Great customer service. Took in our 6 yr old patio heater burner for service. They checked over and made some adjustments - no charge and it's working great.

Awesome service at the South location from Dave and the delivery guys were amazing! Thank you to Eddie, Niels, and Jacob for moving my extremely heavy fire pit coffee table up 3 flights of stairs to my rooftop patio! Your friendliness and professionalism was much appreciated!

After visiting Lowe's, Home Depot and Rona, all without any staff in the seasonal department, on a Sunday, in July....we made the trek to Barbecues Galore and were very very impressed. We were greeted by an employee (ID was KEP on the receipt) who showed us a popular model in our burner-range and was happy to show us more economical options, even going so far as to show us one in the back that happened not to be on the floor. Then it came down to 2 options and she explained the differences (basically why they were $100 apart when they appeared basically the same) from an impressive knowledge base and we were sold. She also asked us what accessories we'd like, offering more info and knowledge on what we might need. All in all a pleasant, pleasing and efficient experience. As well, due to our previous experiences at the other stores we were able to see that their prices were not inflated. Would highly recommend this business.

***I eventually spoke with the manager and he explained some of the reasoning behind the service issues. Ultimately it seems they want to do the right thing and retain their customers.***



I had a good experience with Jeremy on the day I went to purchase my barbecue. He was knowledgeable and answered my questions on different models. Eventually I settled on a Broil King Baron for $749. I asked them to price match Home Depot on assembly for no cost which they did.



I picked up the unit the next day and asked Jeremy what I needed to attach a longer hose to the hose that came with it. I had a 10 foot hose that I had at home that I needed to attach to reach my gas outlet.



He sold me a $5 brass fitting that he said would work commenting that I did not need to use paste as it had flared ends.



After a couple phone calls back to Jeremy when I mistakenly thought I did nit have a quick connect piece it became apparent and Jeremy confirmed that I did not have the correct piece to attach the 2 hoses. I would need to detach the current hose, attach a new hose and connect the original hose to the new hose.



I was frustrated that he would sell me the piece and not explain this. I went out to detach the hose but do not have a small enough second wrench to remove the hose.



I called and asked to speak to a manager and was put through to Troy. I explained the situation to Troy and he asked what I would like done.



I said that I wanted someone to come out and fix their mistake. He said it would be $80 and 5 days from today. I asked him if he thought I was being unreasonable and he offered to waive the $80 but would still be 5 days.



I went to BBQ Galore specifically because I wanted to support what I thought was a good retailer rather than dealing with a big box chain.



In retrospect I would have been better off just buying at Home Depot close to my house and saved myself the disappointment of crappy service. I am wondering if the Home Depot guy would have at least known what he was doing.



TL/DR - Service is hit and miss, might as well go to a big box store.

Thanks for selling me the wrong hose adapter, recommending a pipe sealer and then refusing to refund it after once i realized the adapter doesn't fit my bbq hose. Nobody indicated that a product cannot be refunded after using the pipe sealer that YOUR customer rep had recommended sold me on. I could have easily used my own ribbon pipe sealer at home and had be able to return this adapter since it didnt end up fitting. What could have costed me $40 for the correct adapter from another store, ended up costing me $100 because now I had to buy a new hose for the wrong adapter you sold me in the first place! Avoid this location at all costs! This is the best place for the worst customer service for all your bbq needs. I didn't even get an apology for them selling me the wrong adapter in the first place! Unless you expect to buy things without a return policy, i HIGHLY recommend finding another location or store for your bbq needs.

If you are looking for a company who is unresponsive to emails and stereotypes their customers this is the place. I was judged off by a sales associate and when I notified them about this no one responded. Shame on you

Stopped by today to grab a replacement burner for the bbq. Was surprised by the quick assessment of the staff. Incredibly helpful, and when one didn't have an answer, they grabbed someone who did. This is now my one stop shop for all of my grilling needs!

My wife and I went into the Burlington location on Saturday March 18 to get some advice on grills and what would fit best with our grilling needs. Jeff on the floor was excellent and very knowledgeable about all the grills we looked at. A big plus was Jeff listened to what we were looking for and that we grill a lot and didn't take us to the most expensive grill in our price range $1000-1700, but rather the one that checked the most boxes for us. Tim at the desk was excellent and very friendly to deal with. Would absolutely recommend Barbeques Galore to friends and look forward to years of grilling on our new bbq

My husband I and stopped in here today to pick up a new starter and a rotisserie for our BBQ and were blown away by the customer service. Everyone was so helpful and so knowledgeable. We’ve never experienced such great quality of service anywhere else. 100% recommend. We will always come here for our BBQ needs. Keep up the great work guys and gals!

Love the north Calgary store but I have a big problem with the layout. Every time I go I know I am heading to the condoments in the back corner. My problem is that I have to pass all sorts of good stuff going In and back to the cash out....then some nice young lady tells me there is a special on knives, cutting boards, aprons, sauces...it doesn't matter. All of a sudden a $50 trip turns into a $150 trip.

And I keep going back. This place is addictive!

I'm from Lethbridge and am in Calgary a few times per month. I stop in at Barbecues Galore almost every time I visit, to stock up on charcoal, wood chips, rubs, and a lot of other things my wife doesn't know I buy. The stores are always immaculate, there is never a hard time finding staff to talk to (they will find you), the customer service is top notch (I've never carried a bag of lump to my vehicle, they always insist), and they carry all of my favorite BBQ products (BGE'er). I love their newsletter too - definitely a must-read/subscribe! Great job, highly recommend.

I went to the Calgary North store, I was greeted by a young sales associate as soon as I walked in. He was super helpful in helping me pick out some Charcoal, wood chunks as well as some other accessories for my grill

Fantastic knowledge and helped carry it out to my car

The only place I will now shop at for all my supplies.

I can't say enough about the selection and customer service at both Calgary locations. Their product line is unmatched, and the knowledgable staff make your experience painless. The only issue is that every time I visit the store I add to my collection of products!!

After visiting Lowe's, Home Depot and Rona, all without any staff in the seasonal department, on a Sunday, in July....we made the trek to Barbecues Galore and were very very impressed. We were greeted by an employee (ID was KEP on the receipt) who showed us a popular model in our burner-range and was happy to show us more economical options, even going so far as to show us one in the back that happened not to be on the floor. Then it came down to 2 options and she explained the differences (basically why they were $100 apart when they appeared basically the same) from an impressive knowledge base and we were sold. She also asked us what accessories we'd like, offering more info and knowledge on what we might need. All in all a pleasant, pleasing and efficient experience. As well, due to our previous experiences at the other stores we were able to see that their prices were not inflated. Would highly recommend this business.

***I eventually spoke with the manager and he explained some of the reasoning behind the service issues. Ultimately it seems they want to do the right thing and retain their customers.***



I had a good experience with Jeremy on the day I went to purchase my barbecue. He was knowledgeable and answered my questions on different models. Eventually I settled on a Broil King Baron for $749. I asked them to price match Home Depot on assembly for no cost which they did.



I picked up the unit the next day and asked Jeremy what I needed to attach a longer hose to the hose that came with it. I had a 10 foot hose that I had at home that I needed to attach to reach my gas outlet.



He sold me a $5 brass fitting that he said would work commenting that I did not need to use paste as it had flared ends.



After a couple phone calls back to Jeremy when I mistakenly thought I did nit have a quick connect piece it became apparent and Jeremy confirmed that I did not have the correct piece to attach the 2 hoses. I would need to detach the current hose, attach a new hose and connect the original hose to the new hose.



I was frustrated that he would sell me the piece and not explain this. I went out to detach the hose but do not have a small enough second wrench to remove the hose.



I called and asked to speak to a manager and was put through to Troy. I explained the situation to Troy and he asked what I would like done.



I said that I wanted someone to come out and fix their mistake. He said it would be $80 and 5 days from today. I asked him if he thought I was being unreasonable and he offered to waive the $80 but would still be 5 days.



I went to BBQ Galore specifically because I wanted to support what I thought was a good retailer rather than dealing with a big box chain.



In retrospect I would have been better off just buying at Home Depot close to my house and saved myself the disappointment of crappy service. I am wondering if the Home Depot guy would have at least known what he was doing.



TL/DR - Service is hit and miss, might as well go to a big box store.

Thanks for selling me the wrong hose adapter, recommending a pipe sealer and then refusing to refund it after once i realized the adapter doesn't fit my bbq hose. Nobody indicated that a product cannot be refunded after using the pipe sealer that YOUR customer rep had recommended sold me on. I could have easily used my own ribbon pipe sealer at home and had be able to return this adapter since it didnt end up fitting. What could have costed me $40 for the correct adapter from another store, ended up costing me $100 because now I had to buy a new hose for the wrong adapter you sold me in the first place! Avoid this location at all costs! This is the best place for the worst customer service for all your bbq needs. I didn't even get an apology for them selling me the wrong adapter in the first place! Unless you expect to buy things without a return policy, i HIGHLY recommend finding another location or store for your bbq needs.

If you are looking for a company who is unresponsive to emails and stereotypes their customers this is the place. I was judged off by a sales associate and when I notified them about this no one responded. Shame on you
