We highly recommend Barkers. Our pups have been staying with Barkers for the last 4 years and every time we pull in the parking lot our one dog Yukon gets super excited and can't wait to get inside. Our Italian Greyhound Sadie is a bit of a baby and Barkers is the only place we truly feel comfortable leaving her. Thank you to all the staff at Barkers for always taking such great care of our Pups!! :)

We have only used Barkers for grooming our Westie and Berner. The Westie breeder referred us to Barkers , she takes her westies here. We are so happy with the great job they do with grooming both dogs. Our Westie can be a bit difficult and stubborn and can be a pain in the butt and staff are good with him. The staff is wonderful! They have great suggestions and tips with what we can do at home to get dogs used to getting groomed. Eg. Blow drying. Very happy!

We feel so confident that our fur babies are in the greatest hands at Barker's. They can't wait to get out of the car when we are close enough on Riel Drive, they know where they are going lol. They are so happy there, and we trust them completely. 9 years now and counting... Love the attendants there and the owners are the kindest people. They are truly invested in the best care of our pets. � � � � � � � �

The staff was fantastic ( everyone seemed happy to work there � ) and was great to our 3 girls .. I was impressed with how clean and secure the facility was .. no hesitation when asked for a tour .. we will definitely be using your facility again when we come to the area .. Since our dog, Max, was as little as 4th months old we left him at Barkers; Max is now almost 10 years and unfortunately ill; it was hard for us to plan a trip back home for almost a month knowing that our dog health is very fragile and requires special diet and medicacion. Barkers was open, understanding and commited to provide him with the care that he requires now; as always, they exceed our expectations and demostrated that they really care for our dogs with love and compassion. Big Thanks to Barkers family ��

Paddington is always excited to see his friends and play, he doesn't make the car ride home without falling asleep and then he is out pretty much to the next morning. Thank you to all of the staff and owners for making such a fun place for him to be. Happy New Year!!

Malibu and Aria are pooped and had a great vacation at Barker's while we were away....I thought I would be thinking of them all the time and worrying while on vacation but when I saw how excited they were to be there when I dropped them off I felt completely at ease. They are tired today from all that playing. I can see from the nice pics Barkers took that they thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas dinner and toys. Thankyou so much for taking such good care of them while we were on vacation....I only wish you were closer to my house so I could put them in daycare a couple times a week;) Laurie Ferenac

Loki's 1st stay away from us @ 9 months old was at Barkers in St. Albert. They staff went above & beyond to make him feel @ home. Our heartfelt thanks to Anna for helping us with a last minute change of plans in our vacation & accommodating our late pick time for Loki last night.

I've been taking my dog to Barker's for grooming, for many years, and highly recommend them. My dog is a very nervous guy and the staff take fantastic care of him. He always looks great and is calm, happy and relaxed when I pick him up. They try their best to work with my schedule too, which I really appreciate. We haven't tried the boarding yet, but if we required that service, Barker's would be our first choice.

I would highly recommend Barkers Pet Motel & Grooming. Our 3 fur babies recently spent 9 days at the facility and returned happy, healthy and a little sleepy from all the play time. When we travel we usually have friends and family care for our dogs but this time we were off to our destination wedding with all our loved ones so we had to find alternate care for our pups. It was extremely stressful because we are "those people" that treat the dogs like children so leaving them just anywhere was not going to work for us. We have a temperamental Jack Russell, an emotional and needy Italian Greyhound that needs hugs around the clock and our little boy, the chihuahua. We needed to find the right place and after much searching decided on Barkers and seeing our pups at the end of their stay knew it was the right choice. A week before leaving our chihuahua was hospitalized with sever pancreatitis but made a speedy recovery and Barkers took him in without question and provided extra love and snuggles. Our jack Russell celebrated his birthday while at the motel and we were sent photos that day which was wonderful. We checked in via email while away and the staff were great at getting back to us with a full report of how the dogs were doing. Thank you Barkers Pet Motel for taking such good care of our boys!!

I left my dog at Barkers for the last week and I am very impressed! Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and spacious. I would absolutely leave my dog with them again. Thanks for everything!

I can't believe the difference in my dog. He came out of there happy and beautifully groomed. Professional and really hands-on. This is my number one choice for groomers ever. Thanks so much for taking the stress out of a necessary situation. Best grooming experience we've ever had. Thanks again and especially thanks to Victoria, who treated my dog like he was her own!! Victoria, I can promise you that we are your clients for life!!

Great Kennel service! My parents recommended this place and I will never look at another place other than Barkers to board my dogs! My dog has gone wherever I go for the past 3 years (aside from long weekend trips where she would stay with my husband or father in law) and I was really skeptical about putting her in a boarding service with all the horror stories I have heard. from personal experiences from my friends and family Barkers was the only one I even wanted to try! Ebony came home looking great, well rested, clean, didn't smell, and didn't look run down; She looked as though she had her own puppy vacation! She has really bad separation anxiety and they were able to take her out of her anxiety through the stay which is absolutely awesome! Great service I will recommend this place to more family and friends!

For the two years that we have lived in Alberta, this was the only place we left our two Pom/terriers Mack and Lily. They were pooped whenever we picked them up! They answered every fur baby question and follow up when they were taking care of them and always tried to fit me in when a spur of the moment trip arose. They offered a safe haven for them during our evacuation from Fort McMurray and I will forever be grateful. Keep up the great work and if we ever move back to Alberta I'll be sure to look you guys up again. Lots of furry love coming your way.

Definitely love this place! My Dexter is so happy when he hears “daycare today” He whines in the front seat till we pull up front then he jumps on my seat basically yelling at me to let him out! Seriously..

When I go to pick him up, he is always so happy and full of energy..



But... but... when we get home, he eats and passes out till later on that evening, sometimes even stays sleeping all night. ��

So if you want a happy, loved played out pup this is the place!



I’ve been to other daycare/boarding places within the area and I was thrilled to know Barkers has a very high end air filtration system. This to me shows they care not only about their animals, but also their staff.



Backyard play area- Its all turf, need I say more.

also the backyard is sectioned according for dog size, so no worries if your little dog will be in with the BIG dogs.

Barkers has been absolutely amazing with my boy! He comes home and is extremely happy and exuberant, so you know that they treat him like one of their own!

The special dye jobs have been more than I could've ever asked for and they were so talentedly done!

Whenever I run across someone at the park that asks where Falcor was painted up I always have at least one business card to dish out.

Amazing! We brought our puppy, a 9 yr old black lab named Binker, to Barkers for 17 days while we went on vacation. Our puppy had an amazing time and was well loved and cared for by the staff! Their spa services are amazing and we will definitely be bringing him back for more baths! Highly recommend Barkers to any and all!
