Bcminns - Peace River

The rooms were clean and quiet and the staff was very helpful and made everything easy from switching rooms to finding amenities in town. Any issues were dealt with quickly and courteously we would definitely stay here again and tell our friends. Tony from maintenance was a friendly face and went out of his way to make us welcome and comfortable.

The clerk couldn't find our online reservation (Expedia/Hotwire). That was inconvenient for 20 minutes. Before I told her I had a dog, she booked the room. Instead of rearranging things and charging the fee, she just said it was okay and she'll inform her manager. I was appreciative. In the morning, I took my dog out at 7:45am and then got a call from the manager stating I did not declare my dog and am subject to the fee. I told her that I did in fact declare my dog on a standard form upon check-in and that she can't call and slap a fee on me. She chose to call and bother a guest before looking at the standard form. She also didn't get the story or trust her staff. I thought that was poor customer service, bad leadership and hasty. This negative experience could've been avoided with more organization and better communication within the hotel itself. As for the room, it was decent and clean. I got a better deal at an equivalent room the next night at a different hotel with top shelf service. I'll happily never consider BCMI again.

Nice warm pool, accomadating/friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, good location with beautiful view of the mighty Peace River. Definately going to stay again when we return!!

Beds are great, rooms are kind of sketchy, food is great. Make sure you ask if there pool is open

Beds are better than most places at this price. Rooms are very dated and grungy. Friendly staff. Quiet except for the wall heater/ cooler that turns on every 3 minutes regardless of setting.
