Bear Necessities Calgary

Bear Necessities is a non-profit Students' Union club at the University of Calgary. We strive to raise awareness about local homelessness and encourage students to get more involved and engaged in their community! We provide members with the opportunity to create an impact with volunteering opportunities that are supplemented with educational components. Bear Necessities' goal is to reduce stigma around homelessness and give more purpose to our members' volunteering experiences. In our first year as a Students' Union club, we were honoured with the Best New Club award. Since then, we've won awards for Community Service, Sustainability, and Engagement. Bear Necessities is proud to strive for excellence as a club and we believe that you can have a meaningful volunteer experience with us - as a member or as an executive!
