The Beddington Theatre Arts Centre is a facility offering community activities with a focus on the performing arts. We are recruiting a part-time Facility Maintenance Attendant to work on average 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities include but not limited to;
Regular Maintenance, Repairs and Building Improvements:... - General handyman duties, minor plumbing, electrical repairs and maintenance - Troubleshoot of appliances - General carpentry, fixing doors, cabinets hinges, etc. - Minor Drywall repair and painting - Sources and prices replacement or repair items - Makes recommendations for repairs, replacements, or upgrades - Maintains a painting/touch-up schedule - Attends to garbage and general clean up in resident and public areas (Exterior and Interior) - Ensures the safety of staff, residents, guests, and vendor personnel by ensuring all areas of the building and its exterior grounds are maintained in a safe condition (i.e. snow clearing, debris, and leaves, etc.) - Prioritizes maintenance requests and scheduled work load so the work can be performed in an efficient manner- Implements programs which conserve and save energy for lighting and other equipment
Qualifications: - A basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating systems and gardening - A basic level of computer experience/knowledge at a minimum - Knowledge of safety regulations and precautions
Skills and Abilities: - A demonstrated ability to organize a schedule of maintenance and workload planning - A demonstrated ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines - An ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors - Be pleasant and courteous to staff, residents, and visitors - Assist the staff and management to operate the facility in a safe and efficient manner.

The Beddington Theatre Arts Centre is recruiting a part-time Facility Administrator. This is a part time role with up to 5 hours a day.
Responsibilities ŌĆó Serves as primary point of contact for tenants ŌĆó Responds to facility inquiries in person, over the phone and through emailŌĆó Updates and distributes documentation and correspondences for building maintenance/repairs, HVAC, custodial services, etc.... ŌĆó Maintains office supplies inventory ŌĆó Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting ŌĆó Maintains filing systems ŌĆó Inspect the facility to ensure all areas are kept neat, orderly, clean, safe, and in optimal operating condition

The Beddington Theatre Arts Centre is recruiting a part-time Box Office & Facility Attendant. The hours are in the evenings and weekends, typically one to three shifts per week depending on how busy the facility is. We are also looking for someone who is available to work late nights (the latest is until 2:00am).
Responsibilities - Sell show tickets for StoryBook Theatre Society and Front Row Centre Players to patrons using Theatre Manager - Run the box office when there is a... performance in the theatre - Check tenants in and out of the building - Answer tenant queries and concerns about the facility - Answer inquiries over the phone - Collect payments, issue receipts, manage cash - Key holder responsibilities - Supervise building to ensure security - Minor janitorial duties - Lock up at the end of the night
Qualifications - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Must be able to be understood over the phone in English - Customer-oriented focus - Excellent at multitasking - Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner - Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as a team member - Ability to work independently and take initiative - Mature, trustworthy, reliable and punctual - Use of MS Office - Advanced Online skills using software applications such as Dropbox, Trello and Facebook - Knowledge of Theatre Manager Software an asset

We chairish your comfort! The Beddington Theatre Arts Centre is looking to hire hard working individuals to help us install our new theatre seats! We would require you to be available Monday, August 28th, and Tuesday, August 29th. You would be responsible for our patrons' increased comfort.

The location is easy to get to, plenty of easy to access parking, well lit parking lot, the concession takes debit, and credit, there's coffee, alcoholic beverages and snacks. They have London bar service, and we were allowed to bring our alcohol into the theatre!

The show was top notch! I would say comparable to The Book of Mormon (on a smaller budget)!
