Bellerose Business Venture

The Bellerose Business Venture is comprised of a group of entrepreneurial minded, culinary arts students who are developing their skills and understanding in the business community.

We meet several hours per week to discuss business strategy, we listen to guest lecturers from the local business community, hone our cooking skills, showcase our talent through various cooking competitions and most importantly, host monthly family suppers, and create product for sale. Students purchase shares in the company and have a vested interest in its success. The value of the shares correlates with the cash flow in our account. At the end of the year, we liquidate the company. At that point we hope to return investments to student shareholders and make a donation of goods and equipment back to the Food Studies Program at Bellerose. Students receive three credits in CTS (Business, Administration, Finance & Information Technology) courses throughout the year for their participation in the program.
