Better Puppy Good Dog

Better Puppy good dog provides a fun but effective class for puppy socialization. We also do show handling classes.

Puppy classes start before the puppy comes home. When you have made the decision to buy, the training starts.
Most classes start when the dogs are 10 weeks old and you now have a few things to fix as you brought the puppy home not knowing what to do and have trained incorrectly for at least 3 weeks.
We take that out of the picture.
Training starts when you buy the dog. We will have a personal one on one , provide you with good reference material and show you what to do and what not to do.
The puppy is home and you have 3 weeks until you can go to class (2nd set of shots). You can contact us at anytime through this time period for help. Again, a scheduled one on one once the puppy is home made to help you get it right.
Puppy classes. We are all busy and time is at a premium. We require 4 weeks , 1 hour a week to teach you basic skills. These classes are more for the dog than you as the puppies need to be socialized and what is mainly what the class is about.

Now the puppy is 5 - 7 months of age a basic home obedience class is needed. These are fun and jam packed full of information. No more than 10 dogs in a class. Again 4 weeks of classes, you have all the info you need. It is up to you to train your dog. We have a 5th and 6th week added to those who are planning on doing competition obedience.
Retriever training. Basics required to get your dog started in the field. A recall, hold sit on whistle, stay and the beginning of casting is taught.
