Big T'S Bbq & Smokehouse

Great friendly waitress, great food and sauces, love the music and the aesthetic. Waitress refilled my sweet tea before it was empty which is always a big plus for me. Pulled pork sandwich is delicious, fries are pretty average but I always love fries so I can't complain. Sweet tea is great. Overall great place to eat.

Pickup only. Great menu with good selections, reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We found the Dusty Rib Ends were a little bit chewier than expected, however, the beef brisket was fantastic; moist and tender. The "Dirty Rice" side dish turned out to be quite tasty as well.
Will definitely order from here again.

Can't rate the food because we never got a chance to eat.
We were a party of 6, post football game, so we expected to wait. Two of us came early to get our names on the list as we knew it would be busy and we were told it would be a 20-30 minute wait - no problem for us at all. We waited patiently for 45 minutes watching multiple parties of 2 and 4 that arrived after us be seated at tables side by side that could easily have been pushed together for our group.
When we finally asked the hostess about the wait, she brushed us off by saying there was no tables side by side to connect. One of our group pointed out that this wasn't true as we had watched those very tables given to others. She then said she could call the last table back and make them wait until we were seated - !?
After a total of 60 minutes of waiting, we gave up and left.

I suspect she made a mistake seating people in the rush, forgot about us and gave away the wrong tables. This would have been no big deal if she would have just admitted the error and apologized - we were fine chatting while we waited and we're all reasonable adults that understand errirs happen, but after that attitude, we had had enough.
I understand it's a busy time and that there were half drunk rowdy football fans to deal with, but we were more than patient and gave them plenty of time to organize the dining room accordingly.

Great BBQ restaurant. Smoked - fall apart as you eat - ribs, and wings. Great meatloaf. Three fantastic in house sauces to compliment the menu options.
Can be busy and require waiting for a table. Football stadium across the street likely affects business of restaurant, so check game schedule to avoid some of the crowds.

This place is always packed, managed to get a table today. Service was good considering at first there was only a couple of waitresses when we walked in. Once more came on shift service picked up. Food was cooked well, tasted good.

I had the pulled pork be prepared to smoother it in the homemade sauce as it's somewhat dry.

Did was amazing! Fell of the bone, and not swimming in sauce like so many other BBQ places, the meat was the true star here, though I have to say the sauce was very good too 😊. The marinated colslaw was also great, not mayo based.. Kids meal was very good. Oh and portions we great for the price, shared. Full rack with the wife and we were both full when we left.. which was too bad.. really wanted to sample the Maple cheesecake..

If I lived in Calgary, this would be a go to place for me and my family... But since just visiting, will have to mark it down as a place to come back to when we next come through this way.

I've been coming here for the past year with my family as it's a nice change from the usual generic restaurants. The food is really good. The St Louis Ribs are tender and tasty so is the pulled pork. Not the best pulled pork but definitely worth trying. The only reason I'm not giving it more then 3 stars is the service. We sometimes get this older skinny lady as our server and she is definitely not a happy and positive person. Always looks angry and sort with her answers. She almost looks like she does not want to serve us. I tried being extremely polite to her but no response. Therefore I must say that they need better servers. A person who is happy to serve and not a person who is dragging their feet and acting like they are doing you a favour.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I've been eating here for the entire time I've lived in Canada (10 year's ) we moved away from calgary 8 years ago and a trip back is not the same without at least 1 meal here. The food is outstanding I have never once had a bad experience or left hungry and believe me that's saying something for me. If I'm having lunch it has to be the gutbuster. Dinner well let's just say I'm working my way across the menu. I will always eat here and tell everyone to order the brisket!! They also introduced me to Mississippi mud!!!! Can't say enough good things. Do your taste buds and stomach a solid eat here.

Great food and Excellent Service! Wanted to go a few times prior to writing a review. 4 stars because the Catfish Po boy I had the first time was not good, at all. However, everything else we orders was great! The second time I went, I shared a platter with my brother-in-law. It was all very excellent. Reasonable prices too! I'd recommend you go check it out.
