Great food and service.
Very quaint. We would go again.
We had an amazing time here with family. The menu had many great items and they all tasted lovely! The maple balsamic, beef Bourgogne, and white cheesecake filled us right up! But best of all, Ed and his wife are amazing hosts, and made our visit very special! You have to go here! Call ahead to make reservations.
Great food and service. Nice quiet ambiance. Neat old building.
fantastic. I almost don't want to write a review so I can have this place to myself.
Been here a few times and it's always great. Excellent service and quality in a quaint place. Also an excellent value when you consider the quality of the dishes and the serving sizes.
Excellent. The host was very friendly and the food was great. Will go again.
It was a really nice little restaurant. The soup was fantastic. They just started opening on Monday's and word has not gotten out yet.
Our new favourite French style bistro in Okotoks. We popped by for a late dinner and boy were we impressed. We were served by the owner who is very passionate about his restaurant. I had the Reuben which was perfect and the Cotes de Rhonda wine was the perfect temperature. We will be back!!
Great lunchtime food, very welcoming, good value
Absolutely fantastic food. French cuisine in a casual atmosphere. The food is as good as anything anywhere. If you're from south Calgary, don't waste your time trying to get downtown, just come to Okotoks instead. It's easier to get here and 1882 is better than what you get in the city. Service, prices, wine menu.....everything is great.
Last thing: when you order the cheesecake for dessert, they serve it in a bowl instead of a plate. Don't worry about why. When you taste it you'll get it. :)
My husband and I have been here twice and both experiences were very different. The first experience was a 5/5... the food was amazing! We had a halibut that was on special and it was phenomenal! The second experience was a 2-3/5 at best. I had the salmon and it was dense, chewy and overcooked, tasted like it had been frozen. My husband had the duck and he was thrown off by the texture of the outer layer. The appetizers we ordered both times were consistent and really good. The price is a bit high, especially for the quality of the food on our second visit. We paid $120 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and tip and we left pretty disappointed. Not sure if we will be going back. 🙁
One of those little gems. A great family owned restaurant with good food and atmosphere. Always exceptional service. Highly recommend the creme Brule.
